I recently decided to try out Cartomizers and I bought a pack of 5 from cignot (Joytech). I have to admit that I love them. I don't have to mess with the filler in a regular atty/cartridge combo and my finger isn't yellow anymore from adjusting it to get it to vape right.

My problem with the carty's are how long they last. It's been 1 week and I'm about to break out my third carty. I'm not sure if if I'm such a heavy vaper that I'm wearing them out too quickly or if I'm doing something wrong.

I tend to drip right through the threaded hole to fill them up. I don't like the condom rupper cap method for filling. I never spill and I don't over fill. I'm not sure if my filling technique is destroying the cartomizer or if they aren't supposed to last longer than about a half week. Does anyone have any insight into the 510 cartomizer's? I'm using them on my 600 eGO.

That isn't the best way to fill them and might be why you're having a problem. I've taken a few apart and they are quite different than other cartos. For one, there is not straight shot through the batt connection end - in fact, you can use these cartos with a bottom filler mod like the Wetbox for that reason - the epoxy is 'tiered' at that end and the coil sits right on top of the batt connector.

I don't like the condom rupper cap method for filling.

That likely wouldn't work anyway.

Unfortunately, and the reason I won't be getting any more, is that you have to fill them through the top and you need a needle tip bottle or a syringe to do it. Remove the top cap and then remove the 'mid cap' (that has two holes off center and those are for air flow not filling. Then puncture the center seal and fill. You can fill through the top cap/mouthpiece from there but only if you don't replace the mid cap and also feel around so you're needle tip gets into the center 'sealed' hole. That is just like the mega eGo carto (except much smaller in size).

Imo, you're best bet with the eGo is to use either the mega (cylinder type) atty and cart or the cone/atty and cart if the mega isn't your style. The mega holds 2.5ml of ejuice and the cone/atty holds 1.5ml (vs. .8ml for a regular 510 cartridge) and there is no need for needles and syringes.
