KK I pooched my first dozen PT coil rebuilds, i'm absolutely terrible at it.
But I kept trying, and now I can do KFs and even Gennies without grief. You can't possibly be worse than me, and you'll get it if you keep trying. Every build gets easier.
Good luck! It's worth the effort, I only use my RBAs now (except when I'm having a bad re-build day, and have to grab a clearo for a couple vapes).

Edit: Yes, cotton and Kanthol are the way to go. I use cotton for everything (except Gennies, which work best with mesh wicks IMHO). Which RBA did you get?
I've watched a ton of videos on rebuilding. That's what finally gave me the confidence to do it. The vivi coils seem super easy provided I have the motor skills to get them wrapped that tight. The RBA I have is a cheap one from Juggie that looks super easy also. Again provided I have the motor skills to get it wrapped.
All of the videos I watched none mention what materials they are using they just show the procedure.so I took a shot in the dark with the cotton and Kanthal, but I am super excited for it to show up.
