problem: attempt to sq...., but bottle is stiffer than usual and no juice comes out of the BF juice connection.

Yeah, thats right. I'm having problems with it :p

At first I thought it was my atty because its not meant for bottom feeding and I'm pushing 100% vg juice through it - its an RDA that is meant to have air drawn from two holes on either side of the 510 connection. It has been working great for the last month, but I figured it got clogged or something. I washed it well, took a can of compressed air to it just to make sure. Washed the Reo (mostly just juice line, bottle and juice well) dried and reassembled everything. it worked for a few pumps, then nothing again.
The bottle didn't want to squeeze at all. I watched the feed line, and there where air bubbles that went up when I pressed the bottle, but nothing came into the atty. I took the atty off to see if it was 510 related, and nothing was coming out of the reo 510.
I emptied juice bottle, washed again - this time filling up the bottle with water and forcing water through the juice feeder. that seemed to work ok. dried filled with juice, things seemed to be working again.
until they weren't. I pulled the plastic piece that covers the positive connector the button pushes down and the bottom of the 510. Everything looked fine as far as I could tell.
I checked the oring on the bottle and it looked "ok" it wasn't jammed up in the cap, but it didn't sit around the top of the bottle in the cap well, or so it appeared to me. I tried taking it out and resetting it, but it seemed to big to fit in the top of the cap - I was trying to place it in the top of the cap just before the taper in the lid, pushed up against the little ledge that sits there. I pulled it down to the top of the threads, and made the bottle to the work.
If I pull the door of, pull the bottle out and squeeze it from both sides it seems to work ok, but thats a hassle...

Well, I wrote all that - went to take some pictures and figured out the problem......
The bottle was sitting in a way that the tube was sitting pretty much flush against the bottom. my tube sits at the back of my bottle, so when I took it out to squeeze it it was pulling it off the bottom so juice could make its way up... other wise it was sealing against the bottom... I don't want to admit how long it took me to discover that, but I did, and that's whats important! lol
Hopefully this helps some one out...

Heh - the "v" notch in the feed tube is your friend. Many a 'naut has fallen afoul of this issue.

Just cut a small inverted "v" in the bottom lip of your feed tube - it won't be able to suction/seal to the bottle with it done.

Good call! thanks for the pro tip! I just pushed the hose further into the bottle so it bowed against the bottom. It still sits in the mod and doesn't rattle.
inverted V is on its way though :)

Yeah I do this with every Reo I get. Instantly. Or if I put a new tube in it gets a big ol' V cut in before filling up. Its something so simple and takes one second. But if you don't do it you end up having issues like you stated above. Don't be shy. Cut a nice V on the front and back of the tube (2 V's total, one on each side) works like a dream. I pump thick juice through it all day and night. She always comes through for me, never a dry hit :)
Unless I get lazy that is.. ehhh

Yeah what a lot of people end up doing is cutting the tip of the feed tube into a "V" or an inverted "/\" so that if the tube tries to suction itself to the bottom of the bottle there's still an opening for juice to flow thru.

It happens to a lot of people and is pretty common. Just take some scissors and trim the end of the tube.

Here's an example of how I cut mine. ("v" cut)
