I was just wondering this same thing myself. I had been keeping the bottles in an air tight container under my desk but my latest shipment from TV suggested I store them at temperatures under 60'...I like to keep the house cool but there is no way I'm setting the thermostat that low! I have since moved them to the fridge...I have no basement...Oh no! What to do??

Specifics, please. I moved mine to the fridge based on posts I read. I'll move them out now (but do want to know why.)

This post by Sun Vaporer is the main reason why.

Sorm--if it is unflavored--you can keep it in the fridge. If it is flavored, no fridge--just a cool, dark, and dry place. The fridge is loaded with condensation when opened and closing the door.

I lost over 400 dollars worth of e-liquid storing it in the fridge. My advise is to do not do it!!! It all turned rancid. I have e-liquid coming on two years old here that is just as good as the day I bought it and keep it in a draw. The fridge is where I lost all the money.

Poeia...I cant find the thread now But basically Juice needs a cool Dry place and fridges are Cool but Not Dry. Somehow the moisture messes the liquid up.

SAY WHAT????? We've kept ours in the fridge for almost a year and never had a problem. Moisture? Fridges are moisture controlled now and besides it is a bottle. Does the eliquid leach out of the bottle? Why would you think the moisture would leach into the bottle?

I found Geoff's posts on the subject:

I just wrote to Jebey. If you have a liquid that you anticipate running out of quickly, something you vape daily, I'd say refrigeration isn't a bad idea. But if you have a BUNCH, store it somewhere where you can keep it around 50 degrees and OUT OF THE SUN.

Some browning will occur with age and the nicotine's exposure to oxygen. That's fine, it's expected, but no liquid has a shelf life beyond a year and by all means, don't buy a truck load of my liquid thinking you're stocking up for the year. I'll be around.

Hit me up for liquids as you need them. Pace yourself. It's okay. IN the mean time. Keep your liquids COOL and OUT OF THE SUN and don't freak if they get a little darker, that's normal.
After research, I have to report that nicotine does not do well, kept or stored in areas that are 68 degrees and above. And sunlight, as stated, is a big no-no.
The browning is cosmetic and simply the nicotine reacting to exposure to oxygen. LIQUID AGE will affect the potency. It's always a wise choice to buy what you intend on vaping in the next 1-3 months to ensure you're getting fresh product from us, and as previously mentioned, keep them cool and out of sunlight.

Doubler as well. These are FOOD GRADE items that you buy from us. And storing them in the mentioned fashion inhibits bacterial growth. Bacteria is in the air, and as you let air in the bottle, you also let other little buggers in. Storing them as we've mentioned many times here simply inhibits bacterial growth through warmth and photosynthesis by exposure to sunlight.

Okay?

Ours, as is ANY e-liquid, a perishable item
