So I've noticed my juices give me pretty severe throat problems. I talk all day at my job and cannot have issues like having to clear my throat every few minutes so I need to find a fix. They're causing scratchiness, the need to clear my throat often, and needing to do so to vocalize from time to time.

Most of my juices are 50/50 blends. If I mixed vg to make them 75-80% vg blends would I have a better experience and smoother throat hit from them?

PG dries out the mucous membranes since it's a humectant (absorbs water). Drink your daily allotment of water based liquids and the problem will go away.

You also don't have to inhale to get the nicotine. Most of what we vape isn't taken deeply into the lungs like smoking and the droplets of vapor don't penetrate deeply into the lungs. Most of the vapor collects on the bronchial tubes and some of that moisture makes its way back up to the throat by the action of cilia in the bronchials. Then, you have a need to clear your throat to get it back out.

Try shallow inhaling just enough to get the vapor back far enough to exhale through the nose. The mouth and sinuses absorb the nic quite well.

I like using my RDA's, sub ohm vaping, and cloud chasing though. With that said would higher vg not provide a workaround? I'm not and wasn't a cigarette smoker so vaping raft way isn't satisfying at all, I moved here from hookah so I'm looking for a way to satisfy my needs without causing issues.

When I started vaping I used 70% PG and found I had the same symptoms you have. I'm at 60% VG now and that does it for me.

I am however also very low in nicotine. Half the time I vape zero nic and the other half 2-3 mg. That also helps me with this.

I would try higher VG juice first and see how that goes. We are all different and sometimes people don't react well to VG either.

Change one thing at a time and see what happens.

Good luck with it.

6 or 3. Higher vg juices seem to cause less problem. I'll try adding extra vg to my premade juices.

If I use more than about 40% PG in my e-Liquids, I start to get that bit of Popcorn stuck in your Throat Cough.

For Me, 30%PG | 70%VG works Best.

100% VG Gives Massive amounts of Vapor. But the Flavor isn't as good as it Could be. I need a Little PG to help with Flavor and TH.

Also, 100% VG e-Liquids Crude Up my Coil/Wick Very Fast.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I talk on the phone basically all day while at work. I know 100 people are going to tell you this but you need to drink a lot of water. I found the trick is to chug down a few gulps, and I mean really chug, like swallow the water as violently as you can and everything will seem to go back to normal for a little while. Just repeat this every time you are about to pick up the phone or go into a meeting, etc... It has pretty much eliminated any raspyness (excuse spelling) to my voice and it doesn't hurt after talking for 10+ minutes anymore.

And again, the trick isn't just drinking water, it's how you drink it. I know that sounds weird but it only helps if I try to swallow my own throat while drinking water. It seems to clear my throat and eliminate any pain that would normally be there. I just do this all day and it has been working fine. It most likely isn't from vaping, but your throat just might not be numb anymore from smoke basically killing all feeling in your mouth and throat. Smoking most likely caused your throat issues but you are just now starting to feel what smoking really did to you after the numbing qualities of smoke have disappeared.

I didn't smoke cigarettes though.

Are you saying that you Never Smoked?

If so... Why did you Start Vaping?

Add a slices of fruit to you water. The juices will help cut the residue from your throat and having the hint of flavor will entice you drink more.

At home and at work (when I was working ), I keep a jar of dill pickle slices for when I get that yucky throat feeling.
It's the vinegar that actually helps.
It clears it and it's also soothing.

I smoked cigarettes like 8+ years ago but quit many years ago cold turkey. I did enjoy hookah on occasion and that's what interested me in vaping.

Thank you both. I'll try these suggestions. :)
