Juice changing in glass but not plastic tank?

Hello All,

First post!
I have been vaping for about 4 months and cig free for 3 of them (first time in 20yrs.). I find that I much prefer the tobacco juices, currently Heather's tobacco flavors are my favorites. I have one question that I hope someone can help me to understand. I have a couple protank2's and a unitank. Here is the scenario: I fill a protank2 and a unitank with the exact same juice. The juice in the unitank stays relatively unchanged in color/aroma/taste while the juice in the protank2's change dramatically in less than a day becoming much darker in color and much stronger in aroma and taste. Any help would be much appreciated. I prefer the protank's (glass instead of plastic) but sometimes the juice changes too much (sometimes a rotting plant matter smell/taste?).

May just be due to how the Unitank works as it slowly allows the juice into the lower chamber wick where as the Pro Tank always has the juice on the wick.

What may be happening is that the PT2 wick is filtering out some of the larger molecules in the eLiquid and it is building up around the wick. Often these filtered particles mix back into the liquid in the tank. It does change the color and flavor of the liquid.
