so I've noticed that all the juices that I make turn out with a pale kind of boring color, and a lot of store bought juices have bright vibrant colors. Are they using food coloring in these? And if so is food coloring bad to vape?

Color is determined by the flavor mix.

are the usual colors and are produced by the natural aging process (Steeping) the longer it sits the darker it will get. This can be anywhere from a few days to 4 - 5 weeks.

I'm sure some juice makers (sellers) do use coloring for their juice. Hard to explain the green, blue, or pink juices I've seen sold locally. I don't really have an issue with that, since I use only RDAs. I do think they look cuter and nicer. 
I make most of the juice I vape, and all the ingredients I use have no coloring, so my juices don't have any color other than what danny mentioned above. I particularly noticed that higher-VG mixes tend to develop more amber-ish colors after steeping.

Some do use colorings. Not sure what. I personally would rather vape boring colors. Not sure what inhaling coloring can do considering that some people say you shouldn't even eat it. (that's assuming they're using food coloring... in really small amounts)
