I was just wondering how some juices are different colors. I know certain flavors have a base color. for example my wife made a flavor using tutti fruity and her juice is now a bright pink color. Ive see some people at a local shop with a bright green color. I'm guessing food coloring isn't good to vape? Is there some other way to get color in juices?

I try to find flavorings that are clear and colorless for my DIY. Most of my blends are a clear as water, and I like it that way, vaping artificial food color won't change the flavor. Not sure I would want to vape anything green....

In reality we don't know if any of what we vape is good for us....in 2055 ppl might look back at us and say I can't believe those people were inhaling that stuff. Color is the cool factor, the commercial marketing side of vaping, the same ppl who like food coloring in their e-juice also like red or blue lights at the end of their ecigs.
Not good. Ideally they should not be used at all. But at the very least, the actual food coloring should be listed on the label, since there are many people that have very adverse reactions to certain colorings. Law suit waiting to happen...
I looked again at her juice flavors its the raspberry that give the color. I'm guessing it just a natural color.from the flavor. Its from tfa, I don't know.what the other juice I saw at the shop contained. I know that another juice from tnt that is a purple pixy stick flavor is.purple

It seems the chemicals in some flavors react with each other or possibly with the nicotine differently causing some color changes as well.Most of my flavors are either clear or a light golden color,but after mixing and steeping i get some that stay clear,some golden color,some like pee yellow haha,some are various shades of orange,i even had a french vanilla that turned a very dark red/maroon color.I've never had any turn green,but then again i dont think i would vape it if it did either haha.
There are probably interactions, but the chemistry of color is actually really complex. I got as far as understanding oxidation/reduction states and chelation once upon a time, but please don't ask me to provide a coherent discussion about it now.
