Higher VG will likely gunk up coils a bit faster than higher PG juices. VG is a bit sweeter than PG and it's the sugars that gunk coils the most. However, VG by itself doesn't really gunk a lot...just a little bit more than PG. Certainly, sweeter juices will gunk the most.

VG produces more vapor and is better for sub-ohm devices in use today. Personally, as an old smoker, I can't handle too much VG because it causes me to have more phlegm, so I keep mine at 20-30% VG. To each his own.

Why do most juices seem to have high VG content? Does high VG wear out coils faster?
Might want to try the search function in upper right hand corner of this post. Could type in " Vegetable Glycerin vs Propylene Glycol ratio ". This function will help you with the simple questions.

No.

High VG creates more vapor.

Some people are allergic to PG so they need high VG juices.

Many vapers want clouds bro clouds.

I make. 70-80% VG juices because i like to embarass some vapers who are using mech mods with dripping Atomizers while i am using a tiny Kayfun on a regulated mod at 8-10 watts. ;-)

In the UK, the majority of liquids are more PG than VG.
The 'proper' vaping companies (which only accounts for a minority of the total sales of e-liquid) use more VG to improve the cloud, make the juice seem more high quality (thicker) and reduce the throat hit as people vape at higher and higher watts.
