I thought I would try and see what would happen if I made some juice.
as you can see from the photo I got a brown bottle from the lab and put 12.5 gram of Drum tobacco in it and added some boiling water.
I will be leaving this for 2 weeks wonder if I put a bit of suger in it might ferment a bit. Also thought about putting say whiskey or sherry in instead of water. Anyone tried that. After 2 weeks I intend to sieve the liquid and add it to some vg. Has anyone tried it this way I was going to boil it up as I have seen this been done but thought that you would be losing the flavour and nicotine through evaporation.
Any ideas or input most welcome. Or if you would like to see me add something else to what I have in two weeks time I am open to suggestions. One more thing as I work in a lab I will have no idea what juice I will have so I will be taking a lot of safety mesures so dont panic.

Keep in mind that tobacco used this way is a kind of organic broth. Not sure how long it might take for organisms to start growth, but I've avoided long-time soaking for this very reason. I never boil, by the way. I cook on simmer for two or three hours. With a lid. No evaporation. Then I filter. I've tried other substances, including alcohol and glycerine. Both proved complete failures and I mean complete. I now add those AFTER the cooking is complete. Good luck with your experiment and post back on it.

I will get a bacteria culture test as well and check it after a week.

Decided against that Idea as it will take too long.
I think what I will do is leave it a week then cook it as tb suggested then strain it. I will leave it for another week as Im off to Spain to play some golf (oh the sunshine)
Bob would you add some more water prior to cooking it?
Thought about straining it through some tights. (new ones) and no I dont cross dress8-o I will have to pinch some off the wife. When I used to make homebrew I found this was the best method of straining the hops after a good boil.
The other idea I had was to put them in something prior to soaking like a tea bag effect. Has anyone tried that.

I've posted about reusable tea bags, but haven't tried them. I think that could avoid issues with filtering after cooking. Such bags are sold on the Internet, used for herbal preparations.

I'd make sure there was just enough water to cover the tobacco at the time you start cooking.

Tights will work; 'bout the same as cheesecloth.

I hope you can see the photo's this is the brown bottle its airtight and I put it in the fridge after the comments I think I will cook it up tomorow.
The other photo's are what I found in the lab I bet it will work a treat.
the bit in the glass is some kind of air stone the top part holds 200ml of water it takes 50 seconds for tap water to go through it so this should be real good for the filter. if the photo's come out ok I post another with the liquid when I have filtered it.
I have ordered some bp vg off the web so I wont be able to mix it until it comes and with my post at the moment I don't know when or if I will get it (two recorded delivery e-cig items are in mail somewhere):(
yes I can see the photo's that's a mini cig so you can tell the size

I'll be following how this turns out for you. Personally, I found the mix needed flavoring. I've settled on Bickford Kahlua as my hands-down favorite. When I'm putting the final liquid together, I use about half vegetable glycerine, a quarter Kahlua and a quarter cooked tobacco fluid. You'll need to work out a mix that has a good viscosity, so it is thicker than water but thinner than pure glycerine.

Experiment by making small amounts at first and trying different ratios of mixed fluids.

Wow prior to boiling I mixed 50/50 vg and some of the juice.
Filled up a cart and puckered up.
It tasted like the strongest cig I have ever had if you had seen me there was vapour everywhere and I was coughing like mad.
Just finished cooking now so I will strain it then see about mixing some other stuff with it.
One thing though I have no idea how much nicotine is in it Guess I will find out if I start with any cravings.8-o

so here we go the 3 photoes are as follows.
The bottle of juice first filter.
next I put 5ml of the VG 3ml peppermint flavour (super cook) 1 ml almond (super cook)
The other photo is the VG This cost me £3 e-bay.
The 2 super cook flavours were 17p each Tesco.
This is all that I have got on the flavour side that is safe.
I would also like to thank KATE for the VG off e-bay.
If this my last post and it all goes pete tong thanx all of you I am filling an empty cart so here goes8-o:cry:8-o:shock::wub: I love ye all.

I wonder if an Old Automatic Drip coffee maker would work. Fill it with tobacco instead of coffee grounds.
I dont THINK, the water is boiling hot.
You might have to run the water through more then once to get everything.
Just a thought this reminded me off.

Havent seen an Update, anyone know if Hes still Upright? hehe
