Okay so I make my own E juice and steeping for 3+ weeks is too much time. I have heard methods like take the cap off, put in hot water, and use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. Are there any tested and proven ways that actually work. I can try with hot water but would that be a problem if you are using plastic bottles. I put the pg, vg, nic, and flavoring straight into the plastic bottles I buy while some say they put it into a glass container at first? Not sure what the purpose is. If anyone has any tips it would help.

Heat seems to be the most important factor in reducing steep times, with 150 deg F being the max temp recommended in the reading i have seen here. My crockpot is not working, so I use a food dehydrator. I have done 5 hours at 140 deg F in LDPE bottles (the kind most pre-made e-juice comes in)without noticeable bad effects, but perhaps others can comment on the safety of steeping in plastic bottles.
