I've tried just about everything out there in the vaping world. Here's how I rate the juice delivery devices for flavor, the ones at the top are best:

1. RBA (rebuildable atomizer with a SS mesh wick and self-made SS coil). These are for advances vapors only. Require extensive research on the part of the owner in proper setup and doing it safely. Can be frustrating. Can be finicky, not always a dependable JDD. But when they are working on all cylinders, nothing can touch them.

2. Very close second for a drip atomizer on a bottom feeder mod such as a VMod or Reo. Simple device that combines the simplicity of dripping on an atomizer with the duration and convenience of using a tank.

3. Quality cartomizer in a pyrex cartotank. My go-to delivery device for much of my vaping experience, and still my choice for a dependable, convenient, and on-the-go delivery device.

4. Bottom coil clearotank (ie Kanger Protank). Recently began using a couple of Protanks. Impressed with the flavor production, but not quite that of a cartotank.

5. Top coil clearotank (ie Vivi Nova tank). Produces a warmer vape than the top coil tanks, not my preference.

6. Ordinary disposable clearomizers. I've tried these off and on throughout my vaping career, never been impressed at any time. Vapor tends to be harsh when compared to any of the above.

*This is obviously based on my own personal experience, and your own results may well differ from mine.
Newer vapors who don't know the difference in the above juice delivery devices can get a primer on them in this article that I made:

You never mentioned direct dripping with an atomizer?

You never mentioned direct dripping with an atomizer?
Direct dripping with an atomizer is essentially the same as using a bottom feeding mod.

I've only had my first bottom feeder mod (an inexpensive Vapage VMod XL) for about a month now. I use it with a drip atomizer. Same flavor as using a drip atomizer alone, but with the added convenience of a tank.

Since an atomizer utilizes no wicking material to possibly taint or weaken the flavor of the juice, you get the purest flavor possible by dripping the juice directly onto the heating coil. But the downside is a drip atomizer can only hold a few drops of juice without flooding. You have to continuously add a few drops at a time to continue vaping.

However, with the bottom feeder mod you have a juice bottle inside the mod that you control how much juice gets dripped into the atomizer. No need to carry a separate juice bottle around to constantly "drip" juice into a stand alone atomizer. The bottom feeder combines the best of two vaping styles: drip atomizer and a tank.

Above are images from the internet of a typical bottom feeding box mod. One squeezes or "squonks" the soft plastic juice bottle with their finger through the opening of the mod to add more juice to the atomizer. Squonking directs a certain amount of juice into a drip well. You suck on the drip tip to direct juice from the well into the atomizer. You are then ready to vape just as you would with a stand alone atomizer. Need more juice for the atomizer? Just give another squonk to the juice bottle. Suck on your drip tip (like you would a primer puff with a cartotank). Ready to vape.

There's a slight learning curve to the right amount of pressure to use on the tank for the proper amount of juice to be delivered, but it doesn't take long to learn.

:thumb: This type of juice delivery device is an ideal solution to all of those thick or dark juices that give wicked devices fits (ie. Boba's Bounty). There is no polyfill to clog up like a cartomizer. No string wick to mute flavor like a clearomizer or clearotank.
