So for the most part I use about a 40/40/20 PG/VG/Flavor
mix for most of the stuff I vape at 3.7 volts.

I'm mostly vapeing with a Standard Joye 510 or a DSE801 on a Janty Stick.

I've just ordered my first 6volt mod (with adapters for both the 801 and 510 attys).

Any advice for adjusting my juice mix for the higher voltage:confused:

Generally speaking, you'll want it a little thinner. Drop the PG by 5% and change that 5% to pure grain alcohol (Everclear) or high-proof vodka or distilled water.

What you'll find to be far more important is adjusting you cartridge feed system. Either the Plug or RSP methods work well, but you will have to tweak the filler material until you reach that line between good wicking and flooding. Somewhere in between is great wicking, a beautiful spot once you find it.

I don't think people have had much success with either on 801s, though I might be wrong. With an 801 at 6v I would drip, for sure.

If you drip, don't change anything - dripping is very forgiving for thickness.

To compare two batches of juice, drop a drop of each onto a mirror laid flat, and then raise it to 90-degrees. See how fast they flow down the mirror. If a juice flows too fast, add VG. If it flows too slow, add Everclear/vodka/water.

Once you make a batch that works well, use that as your "control" juice and make your other juices match that one. If you have any NHaler High Voltage, use that as a "control" juice.

Thanks for the info!

I'm slowly decreasing my nic to zero so I can build up a stash of attys and then not worry about what the FDA does

BUT, I still want that throat hit, so I bought an Adaptever with the 6v sleeve, AND then I bought an X-Haler so I can vape at 5v or 6v (or 3.7, or 7+ 8-o)

Now I'm just anxiously waiting for them to get here!

Anyone know a good (preferably USA) source for protected 3volt cr123 batteries

Stick with a higher PG base if you want better throat hit. There will also be a loss of throat hit with zero-nic, unless you add in PGA or other ingredients, like menthol drops.

I use an 801/Penstyle, and only drip. I tried giving carts a go at higher voltage and killed an atty faster than I did when I was new to vaping. I've really just never had much success with carts at all, to be honest. Troubleshooting the carts versus just redripping was more time consuming for me.

The 801 will do good with 5-6 drops of liquid at 6V, and you'll normally get 7-10 good draws off of that. Janty Kissbox atty's are work horses, RN4072's are good as well, but leaky. I have some BE112's I havent tried yet, but I have heard they are some of the best for Penstyle high voltage vaping.

There's also an added benefit to better flavor from dripping, in my experience.

As for the viscosity of the liquid at higher voltage, I don't know if it really matters all that much. I've vaped unflavored PG liquid, which I consider fairly thin, and had good results (# of draws before redripping), compared to my custom DIY mixes which are normally 50/30/20 (PG/VG/Flavors).

Hey Guys!

Just got a Silver Bullet and I cant find juice that won't burn in my 501 attys or in my V4L 808 "cool cartos" when vaping at 6v. In fact, my 501s aren't even worth trying right now because of the severe burnt taste I'm getting from all my juices...but I make most of mine the same way so there is something wrong with "my normal recipe".

Answers about what I'm already doing: I use only LorAnne, FA and PA, High grade VG USP, and VG nic juice. I also use Tart & Sour liquid from LorAnne and liquid sucrulose drops depending on how my juices turn out without these additives. I don't use much of either though. I thin my juice with distilled water when needed (95% of the time). The consistency of my juice is always based on how it will drip into a cartomizer and how it will stay in a cartomizer...so thick enough to not run out of the batt end of the carto but fairly thin so that it will be absorbed by the batting of the cartos without waiting forever or using tricks like "spinning them" to get drops in.

Any thoughts? Someone above suggested: "Generally speaking, you'll want it a little thinner." Is this everyone's theory?? Because my juice is fairly thin and its still burning. Are there any additives that are more likely to burn or burn at lower temps...such as sucrulose liquid??? or certain flavor additives?? I'm thinking it may just be a texture thing but please let me know what your experiences have been.

Please let me know what high voltage stuff you guys have made that has worked well at 6v PLEASE!!! Is the store bought high voltage thin or thick??? anyone?? anyone??? Bueler??

ANY INFO will be SOOO HELPFUL!!!!

Thanks a million!!

You might want to try pulsing the switch during the draw instead of a continuous press. The latter allows the atty from overheating

I don't know why Scottes recommended thinning the liquid to the OP, but that's a different story. What you might want to try is increasing the boiling point of your liquid, which means using less water (low boiling point) to thin the VG (high boiling point). It won't burn off as fast in theory, and should vaporize slower and with more consistency.
