Nicotine can be absorbed through the skin but it is NOT a fast process. That is why patches last so long. To have any noticeable effect, you would have to leave the juice there for hours. Now if you were using 100mg juice you would probably want to get it off fairly quickly, but even then if you wash it off within a few minutes, not much is going to be absorbed.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Juice that you vape isn't going to harm you by getting on your skin other than a possible skin irritation. Now a toddler drinking your vape juice is something to worry about but that's another topic entirely.

Nicotine DOES absorb into one's skin very quickly but prepared e juice doesn't have enough nicotine in it to be an issue. It's very dilute.

I have spilled more than my fair share on myself. I just wipe it off with an(always handy) napkin and go rinse my hands.
Never noticed any kind of effect at all.

Skin absorption is nothing like inhaling. even though nic can be absorbed it takes longer to migrate/disperse than when inhaling and as stated rarely will there be much of a measurable amount to be absorbed. The nic is suspended in the mixture.

I get 18mg on my hands I just wash them if it bugs me.
I get 60mg or 100mg on them I wash them immediately.

A friend is disabled with many severe physical issues.
He spilled about 30ml of 18mg in his lap.
He toweled it off and figured that was good enough.
not.
He got severe (for him) tachycardia, dizzyness and a visit to the hospital.
He should have showered and changed clothes but figured "Hey, it's just 18mg. What me worry?"

so it depends.

I'm aware that DIY people need to worry more, but my concern is only with E-juice around 18-24mg of nic, already premixed, from Vendors.

I just don't want to have to be paranoid every time I'm filling my tank, that I am going to die or OD because I spilled the entire tank on my hand. ;)

That is extremely unlikely. It's certainly wise to wash your hands, and don't let children or pets contact it, but most small spills are of little consequence.

Yes spoiling on your clothes and letting it soak in and stay on your skin is bad.

If I get a few drops of 24 mg on my hands, I wipe it off with vaper tissue. If it's half a millilitre or more, I go wash my hands pretty quickly. Once I actually got a bit dizzy and nausous after handling some soggy cotton wicks, not washing my hands afterwards.

Nowadays I vape 12 mg, and the main reason why I wash spilt juice off my hands is because I prefer vaping over skin absorption. If I absorb too much nic through my skin, I get to vape less before it's enough or too much. Vaping less = bad. :D
