I handle 100nic base often, and it gets on my fingers hands wrists... no issues have developed as of yet... in fact, the nic patches cause me more issues than 100nic base... one word of advise tho.... if you ever get too messy with nic base, wash your fingers before rubbing your eyes.... if it happens, you wont forget to wash next time... :)

Just to be clear here, 1.2% nic = 12 mg. 100mg nic = 10%.

You've mentioned 1.2% and 1.2mg. Common mistake on the forum to confuse mg with percent. I think you confirmed it's 1.2mg (which is an odd number in ready to vape juice!). So some confusion here. Regardless, 1.2mg or 12mg, it is far less than the 100mg I and several others here routinely gert on our hands because *we* are not bothered with it. But others might be more sensitive, including you. But 12mg or less is quite dilute.

Hi, Dan! I miss the UK something terrible! You know, every time I turn around, there is some awful news story about the evils and dangers of vaping. I hear nor see anything positive, yet every day several jumbo jets of cigarette smokers are dying from smoke-related illnesses and they sure keep that off the air/news! It's amazingly stupid! The money they are investing in trashing those who vape could support every third world country. Dead Crazy! And journalists are no longer genuine journalists. They look like anorexic wanna-be celebs to me. I love watching Democracy Now and BBC World news. At least they have not been bought!

And then it really made me potty when they depicted us and others who vape, as people who are influencing children to take up vaping -- as if we are low enough to lead rats into kiddies bedrooms at night! First they attacked the smokers, and now they are attacking the only real cure I have ever found to get off analogues. It's open season. I hope someone does a documentary on this. It's shockingly transparent. They have put up a good scary front so that many people actually believe that smoking is safer than vaping. I know two smokers out here who criticize my vaping as they chain smoke. The propaganda is working.

I spilled chocolate menthol juice all over the desk and typed with sticky fingers. I should be locked up! And no one can do a thing about my ladylike behavior when I lick chocky juice off the desk! My friend in Manchester, UK said that an entire team of psychiatrists should be allowed to study me!!! I was so HONORED!!!!!!! Everywhere my friend Mike Rigby took me, people would exclaim, "Where did you find her?!!!" I wish I could have been part of French and Saunders! Or a guest on AbFab!

So how do you feel on day eight? Any calmer? Are you old enough to remember when the BBC was hijacked by Jude Finisterra aka Andy Bicklebaum, posing as a spokes person from Dow chemical and said they were ready to help the victims of the Bhopal disaster? Andy Bicklebaum is one of his aliases and he is really Jacques Servin from The Yes Men. It was monumental. They said they were going to extradite Warren Anderson and everything would be resolved. I thought it was real. Every person in the world thought it was real -- for maybe four--five hours or so. I have never been so proud of an activist before in my life. They have aliases for their aliases and they are SO funny! But they are Servin And Vamos. I love culture jamming! I am able to get in touch with them -- but it's not easy. They should impersonate the cigarette companies and apologize for all the pain and misery. The form of activism they are involved in is called identity correction. I have never seen anything so creative or effective -- and passive at the same time.

I am not certain about Alzheimer's, but my husband thinks it's nerves ... euphemism for "it's all in your head!" And I said "where ELSE would it be?" But my mother had it, and both my aunts. If any of my uncles got it, we would not have been able to tell! I have a good neurologist, so I am going in for testing ... if I remember.

Only ill effect I have had from getting e-liquids on my hands is they tend to prune up a little and feel sort of dry. I think the latter may be from washing my hands more than regularly when handling nic. Picking apart atties for cleaning and such? I don't wash off till I'm done. No ill effect.

I have no concern whatsoever. I know what vaping too much feels like. Getting any amount of liquids on my hands (without panicking towards nearest sink) have never felt like that. Not even close. Not even the slightest sensation of anything except the annoyance of having something sticky on my fingers.
But when you pour it on your nether regions (at least with 100mg base) it acts like warming liquid. It tingles into a slight burn.

I've spilled 100mg nic base on my hands before. You'll live..

Heh, everyone is different. I only vape 0-3% max now, but back wehn I was starting if I spilled ANY 18mg or even 12mg on my fingers the skin would start to peel off.

So I pretty much had peeling skin on my hands and fingers the entire first 6 months to a year of vaping.

Even if I washed it off.

TOO LONG? DIDN'T READ? Vaping sometimes makes me dizzy and anxious, and I'm scared getting juice on my skin is going to kill me. Help. :D

Thanks all.

Oh sweet fancy Moses! It's not going to kill you. I once was visiting a nic liquid manufacturer and accidently fell into a vat of 100mg nic and I was fine. They pulled me out and hosed me off and I went home that night and was just fine. At least I think so. I blacked out for a few days and wake up in Depends that needed changing (nic is a diuretic) and all I can remember is fading in and out shivering thinking I was freezing on the top of Everest (which isn't possible because I'd never climb any mountain, let alone Everest. People die climbing that thing when they could take a perfectly good helicopter up there and have better views and hot coffee served in flight. Mountain climbing is stupid. Free climbing is begging for death. What kind of an idiot climbs a mountain without ropes or gear? Seriously, do we have a shortage of short buses to take these ...... to basket weaving classes in special schools?). Anyways, I lost my train of thought...much like I did after I fell in that vat. But it comes back. So did the bowel control. Just don't be like that pervert beckdg and pour it on your crotch. And don't go to the movies with him and eat the popcorn when its in his lap.

Hauntedmyst!

I HATE mountain climbing, too!!! And when we first moved out here everyone kept talking about "bagging a fourteener"! All they talk about here is mountain climbing and weed! The two seem to go together, which explains the many casualties of mountain and rock climbing! :headbang:

I went snowmobiling in the Rockies and accidentally went off the path. I got lost -- terribly lost, and started screaming for help after hitting a tree. It's easy to die up there if you are not very careful. My husband had been searching all over for me and alerted the ranger at the park service. They found me half frozen. Never again!

You can't burn a silica wick. They are highly flame resistant. But you can burn the aforementioned gunk collected on the wick and coil as described above.

Thank you so much for posting that.

I've been trying to tell people for 6 years now that silica wick DOES NOT BURN...
Search Results for Query: silica burn | E-Cigarette Forum

It used to be one of the biggest vaping myths, and some STILL think it burns.
