It is strange Europe but I suppose the best thing about esmoking is that it satisfies the habit. Maybe the addiction isn't as strong as we sometimes think. Personally, I don't need much nicotine to keep me happy but I really miss the act of 'smoking' when I can't do it.

Doggsie, it's not clear yet whether the nicotine gives the harshness/hit or if it's other additives in the juice. Some high nic juices are smooth like Freesmoke and Johnson Creek and some low nic ones are a bit harsh so it's not clear cut.

Went for a reluctant "Throat hit" even though I know it should have been safety. I think safety is a tough one at the moment as the rest are opinions that we can come to through fairly short term experience, but even with the few lab tests that have been done it's going to be a while before we know about any potential long term effects. Safety would certainly be my first choice if I knew for sure some were safer than others.

Throat hit for me seems to play a large part in the psychological effect that I'm actually 'smoking'. I found my 18mg cherry flavour didn't really have that hit and I had a constant slight craving throughout the day despite continuous puffing. I was worried that I might need a higher strength, but not wanting to get more hooked than ever before I stuck with 18mg and I'm glad to say my new flavours (Like Smoke, 555, and Roast Smoke) seem much more satisfying.

Bogart i find i am having a similar experience to you, although i have been using 16mg from janty......how long have you been using your newer flavours and do they still give you a hit!!! and out of interest which cigs were you smoking before e-cigs.

Hey Doggsie,

Actually I've only had these flavours since thursday so hopefully the effect will continue!

Before my e-cig I was smoking Drum rolling tobacco and didn't consider myself a particularly heavy smoker, usually between 11-15 rolleys a day. Nice thing is at the moment I don't give tobacco any thought at all and the only times I've had any recently the taste has gone back to being revolting and making me feel ill.

Here's mine by order of priority:

1. Nicotine strength - it's gotta be low nic (3 mg presently)

2. Flavour/Taste - MMMMM! Screw the tobacco flavors!

3. Vapour volume - I get snippy when the vapor is thin

4. Price - Must be reasonable. I won't pay a premium

5. Customization/Something else not listed - I really like to customize everything, whether it be analogs, computer systems/desktops. etc

6. Harshness/Throat hit - I detest a throat hit. I want it smooth.

7. Proof of safety tests - Yeah RIGHT! That's exactly why I smoked analogs for 28.5 years!

Throat hit is all that matters...

Flavor? As long as it isn't rancid tasting, and gives that "hit"... I'm good. Actually, If I could find a lower nic level that provided that "hit" I would be going that direction. Unfortunately, I haven't found it yet...

Safety is extremely important, but if a liquid was proven 100% safe and didn't have a throat hit, I wouldn't use it..

I agree with this, safety would have been my first choice except without the throat hit I start to crave analogs.

Bellinghamster--If you try the Ryan Jazz disposable zero nicotine--it will blow you out of the room throat hit wise--flavor is good, but we are not talking flavor--we are talking about the ultimate throat hit--you read that from me and a couple of others that tried them on my recomendation--they are not cheap at 25 dollars a piece--But worth it for an occation or two--I bought 4 and vaped 2 of them--Better then a Cuban Cigar---give it a try---Sun
