Juice Seems To Be Too Thick

Hi everyone.
Ater reading the excellent tips on this forum, I decided to order a bottle of juice as it would work out cheaper than buying filled cartos. My first bottle of juice arrived two days ago and I have just opened it to refill. I found the bottle very hard to squeeze and when I looked at the fluid, it's like a gel and quite thick. When I managed to get some out, it's not soaking in but congealing on the top of the carto. It's a high formula (30). Anyone else had this prob, is it normal? I've just emailed the company and am waiting for a response from them. (I don't really want the hassle of trying to "water it down").
Thanks all. Your excellent advice would be appreciated.

Higher quantities of VG will generally make the juice thicker in my (limited) experience. My favorite is a 100% VG coffee juice, but it is extremely thick. As Retriever mentioned, the Taryn spin is pretty much the only way I have been able to refill my cartomizers. I basically have to drip no more than 3 to 5 drops in the cartomizer, spin, and repeat until full.

Get yourself a syringe and fill your cartomizers with it. Thicker juices will eventually seep in but it takes longer and once you get one filled, top it off after you vape on it awhile. Don't let it run dry. First signs of a dry carto is flavorless followed by less vapor production. Once you notice flavor loss, stop using it and refill. If you keep going without refilling, you'll burn the filler rendering the carto useless and nasty tasting. There's no way of removing the burnt taste.

OK thanks for the info. Being new to all this, I just assumed all juices were thin and was quite surprised when I received a "gel". As long at that's quite normal that's fine. Thought I might have been sold a "dud" bottle even though the recommendation came from someone on here. I've topped up the carto again (without using it) in the hope that the juice will eventually soak in.

a 50/50 should not be thick at all.
If you stick with this juice i suggest you add 5-6 drops of WFI(water for injection) for any 10ml of juice you have and give it a good shake.

I was gonna offer similar advice. A small amount of distilled water or pure grain alcohol (Everclear) will thin things down without diluting the strength or flavor too much (I've been able to thin out high vg blends quite a bit without any noticeable diff.). I also agree that a 50/50 blend shouldn't be anywhere near that thickness. Don't know what to tell you on that, but it'll be interesting to see what the vendor says.

I really appreciate your advice everyone. To update, I have heard nothing more from the vendor in 24 hours, after supplying him with the info he required and order number. I have just emailed him again to advise I'm not happy with this product and will contact my credit card company if he does not respond. The liquid is a 50/50, menthol. There was a small bottle of sour apple enclosed with the order as a free sample so I have used some of that to wet the cartos more. This apple is nice and thin and the bottle can be squeezed easily, unlike the menthol bottle which is very hard to squeeze. This can't be right. Needless to say, I will order from another supplier next time and will post a negative feedback about this guy!!

Update.......................I've received a replacement today but it is still quite thick and very hard to squeeze the bottle. It seems that any menthol juice I order, at least from this vendor, is going to be thick so nothing more I can do about it. At least he sent a replacement eventually. The good news is, I'm getting "hooked" on other flavours now LOL. Sour apple and gingerbread are to die for.

hi I have never had this problem before but I always order the 50/50 blend. It has never been to thick for me to use, though I was going to make a suggestion, I get my juice from thevaporhut.com and I love it.Their flavors are yummy! One of my favorites is blueberry cinnamon crumble and it is the best that I have had. I have tried lots of different juice vendors.

The juice should never be that thick, it can't wick into the atomizer. I accidentally left a small bottle of VG in my car last summer (didn't like the flavor) and a few days later grabbed it planning to use the bottle for something else. The juice had thickened up to what you described. I couldn't even pour it out. It was regular tobacco flavor, not menthol. Apparently when stored improperly, VG can thicken up and become useless, apparently that happened to this vendor's stock of menthol and either he doesn't know or doesn't care. Return it, get a refund, go with a better vendor.
There are plenty of good quality vendors with good juice out there. I use Halo and Cignot, ad I have never had a problem with either one. Vicki from Cignot answered my email earlier today within a few minutes.
