Oy vay!
I'm not new to vaping but I am new to sub-ohming and until a week ago my only sub-ohm rig was a CoolFire IV so I didn't have to deal with batteries and such. I've since had a whole lot of education about battery safety and electronic lol.
So I just got the Nebox because I've been curious about TC and the idea of a unit I could carry all day without refilling, that fit in my pocket, was just too god to be true even if the model seemed a bit advanced for me... I figured I'd watch the tutorials, do my reading, and not try to push any limits.
Today I charged my new batteries for the first time, anxiously waiting for a full charge. I spent a great deal of time selecting which juice to try in the Nebox first.. even if I didn't fill it all the way, it was still going to be a long time before I changed it out. To save time filling the unit I tranferred the juice of choice into a drip-stick I got from GiantVapes but either I didn't replace the tip properly or I applied too much pressure trying to get the juice out faster because POP, the top came off and JUICE SPILLED ALL OVER THE PLACE. Not only did some go down the chimney, but it went all over the case and a little bit went into the cooling vent and therefor on the side of the battery, possibly in the battery compartment itself.
i cleaned everything as best I could, and really there was only one visible drop of juice on the side of the battery. I cleaned out the battery compartment twice with a dry tissue and there was no sign that any juice ever made it in there.. I ran dry cloth over the SIDE of the battery only, careful not to touch the connection points. I ran some absorbent material through the chimney and it came out clean. I've let everything sit for three hours to dry JUST IN CASE.
So, a) the battery: only a drop of liquid on the side but is it a loss for safety's sake or am I being ridiculously careful?
b) the unit: is the entire thing a loss because there MAY have been juice in the battery compartment (although there was no sign of it when cleaning with a white cloth), or has letting it set unused to allow anything I missed to dry enough to save the unit.
