OK so, im not new persay, ive been around but i was stuck on analogs. I have a nice eGo (just the reg version) that i love but im having some issues with getting mixtures of pg/vg correct when i order, as well as nic levels.

Now in analogs id be smoking a light menthol camel and was wondering if someone knew what nic level would be close to that? Will a higher nic level seem harsh or is that the pg/vg mixture?

Also im finding that when i vape that the tip of my tounge burns a little, am i doing something wrong in the draw? Also i read that your not suppose to direct inhale, that you let it wallow in your mouth then slowly inhale, is this correct?

I find that alot of the flavor i have tend to be...uh...light to very light in the taste depo, all i hear from people is that , man this or that tastes awsome, bought the same flavor and felt well let down. I love flavor...and alot of it, bold and well presented is what im looking for. I have alot from freedomsmokes usa, water melton, artic menthol, i have sweedish fish from vapor-renu and even that seems very light on the taste....i just feel like im chasing the pied piper and the dollar bills are following lol.

Whats the proper technique for filling blank carts? How do i know when enough is enough? Is it normal for the white filer to be pushed down after you put it on your ecig?

How do i know when an atty is spent? I only have one atm and one on the way, i read somewhere alot of people reccomend 5 but moneys a tad tight at the moment so some help on knowing when i should replace it. I clean it atleats once a night with isotopic alchol (think its 75% or something like that), is that a correct method of cleaning? soaking it for an hour or two then blowing it out clean then dry burning?

I really apperciate all your help to come and advice, i just really wanna kill the analog habit

Hey, welcome and happy vapes!

Now in analogs id be smoking a light menthol camel and was wondering if someone knew what nic level would be close to that? Will a higher nic level seem harsh or is that the pg/vg mixture?

You probably have seen this before - because of the way nicotine is delivered when vaping, there is no clear cut correlation between the concentration and cigarette type in terms of absorbed nicotine. Most light smokers seem to enjoy 12-18 mg, so probably 16 mg would be a good starting point; but you'll have to play with this a little.

Rule of thumb - the higher the nicotine and the more PG in the juice, the more powerful the throat hit from the nicotine. Also, be aware menthol can increase / add to the throat hit.

Also im finding that when i vape that the tip of my tounge burns a little, am i doing something wrong in the draw? Also i read that your not suppose to direct inhale, that you let it wallow in your mouth then slowly inhale, is this correct?

This is correct, as far as it seems. I for one hold all the vapor in the mouth, allow some to escape and then inhale (the excaped portion goes in through the nose). It's supposed to enhance absorption if you inhale some through the nose, but don't try to "puff" the PV directly in the nose because it burns.

Now that you mention it, I realize I always tuck my tongue down, on the floor of the mouth as it were. Probably if you drag straight into the tip of your tongue, that can irritate a little?!

I find that alot of the flavor i have tend to be...uh...

There is a period (for me it was ~1 month, for others less or more) during which taste buds seem to be very insensitive to the flavor. Make sure you stay well hydrated - that helps. Also avoid hot beverages before you vape. Stronger flavors such as menthol and hot cinnamon tend to get through easier, but the downside is they will also dull your tongue for other flavors for a while.

In time this should resolve, and you might find juices you enjoy now to be to strong, and others that you didn't like may become favorites...

Higher power vaping may also improve the flavor - if you don't already, try low resistance atty/cartos or consider a VV model.

Whats the proper technique for filling blank carts? How do i know when enough is enough? Is it normal for the white filer to be pushed down after you put it on your ecig?

I don't know what you mean about filler being pushed down...

To fill, there are several methods - look for "condom method" and "Taryn spin", but the point is to soak the whole thing as much as possible. This is how I do it:

- I always wear a condom! If you don't put the bottom condom on, juice will pour out
- I make sure the needle is between the filler and the outer wall, not into the filler
- I inject in three different places on the circumference
- Once liquid comes out of the center hole or from the sides I let it soak, then draw back on the plunger; then I push again, let the whole thing get fully flooded, wait, then draw back on the plunger. I do this several times. I wait more for thicker juices.
- With the condom on, I suck on the mouth end. What that does is pulls all the juice from the center hole into the filler. It's counter-intuitive, but you do not get juice in your mouth

I guess when it either stops producing vapor, or when the draw is very hard in spite of cleaning. There are many ways to maintain atties, and I for one don't use anything except the soaking in alcohol. Others may have more interesting advice. I guess every night is a little too often, I do this maybe every 4-5 days...

Hope this helps!

Hi! I'll try my best to offer some advice. With nicotine level, I recommend getting a bit of 24mg and 18mg to start to see if that does it for you. You can always cut the juice down with some pg or vg. If the mg is too much you can also moderate the amount of time that you vape to adjust how much you take in.

With re: flavor it's very normal to lose your taste buds for a bit when you quit smoking and start vaping. It'll come back - it took me 3-4 weeks. Make sure to drink tons of water and brush your tongue and roof of your mouth a bit more carefully than you may normally. It takes a long time to find what juices really work for you so some samples in different flavors w/ different mg strengths may be your best bet.

A carto is full when the top looks like a snow cone. No drips or bubbles - just nice and slushy. You can drip, use a syringe or use the condom fill w/ taryn spin method. I liked filling w/ a condom before getting a syringe in.

I toss my attys when they don't perform the same. They will produce less vapor or change in flavor. You can utube for all kinds of methods to clean including ultrasonic jewelry cleaners, boiling, alcohol and baking soda. IMHO it's not worth it - buy a few quality atomizers and keep back ups in.

Others will come by w/ good advice but is my advice based on experience. I had a lot of worries about how much I spent starting vaping. What I will advise is spend what you need to... in a few months it'll all balance out w/ the savings in not spending on cigarettes. Always keep backups, listen to your body's signals, drink lots of water and visit ECF when things don't work right.

Best of luck! Sorry for the long winded reply

This sounds like it's from experience. lol

Seems like you got a lot of good advice already, so I will just touch on the white filler or is it the white silicone cap on a cartomizer you are talking about. If so you should get a drip tip they are fairly inexpensive and it will keep your mouth of of the cartomizer itself.

Ive seen cartomizers here and there, i specifically love the led clear ones but, i have one reservation, do all cartomizers need to be filled with a syrnge? i dont know how i feel about that one, the other half may think im tweaking off ejuice LOL. But are they that good vs a 2 peice cart+atty?
What about switching flavors with an atty? I find i like to swap what im puffing on at a whim, how plauseable is that with a carto without having like 12 cartos lol?

And drip tips? How do these work?

I apperciate all the advice.

They make the PV look nicer but more importantly they help prevent spurts of juice form entering the mouth- prolly the burning on your tongue is from this. Cartomizers I fill with the condom method. I use a tank and each carto last 2+ weeks before beginning to get a tight draw. Realize the are great tanks and horrible tanks out there. The LED clear ones are called clearomizers. Very happy with tanks so have never tried them.
Good Luck.

Yes, you're better with using the atty if you're changing flavors alot. Just rinse it out good and let it dry, then drip a few drops of the new flavor in to try using a drip tip in place of the atty cart.

Drip trips replace the top cap of the carto so it's not an intensely hot hit, and keeps the juice from coming into your mouth.

Man that provari is nice but i cant justify $150 for a PV yet, just cause i cant get the liquid right in a smaller pv why splurg for a larger pv and be just as dissatisfied.

So these tank deals, can you put them on a eGo? I can stand to vape one flavor all day if i was toally smittn on what i had. I Hate to be perticular but money dont grow on trees sadly.

and also with the drip tip, does it just eliminate the blank car or does it slip over the cart and just provides more of a space between your mouth and the blank cart? Or is this just for use with a cartomizer?

    Hello and welcome.
Yes the provari is nice and it provides you with different voltage levels. That way you can play with the setting and find a juices sweet spot(meaning where the flavor is the best at a given voltage).

Drip tips can be used on both and cartomizer and an atty. It is a mouth piece that slips into the atty/carto and provides a little more space and the holes are wide enought to drip the juice into.
    Hope this helps.
    Happy vaping.
    :)
