Nah...don't feel stupid...hopefully us veterans will remember this in the future. I'm feeling kinda silly for not thinking of that as well. Really happy that its better now. Keep us posted if things change. :)

Haha, it's all good. The juice in my other bottle has turned a little greyish/darker. I wonder how that happened.

I really need these juices to steep faster/my Honeyville order to arrive faster. I need something else good to vape.

I was reading this thread while trying to figure out why my juice, which I normally love, tasted like pucky-doo. Finally figured out that the juice I was priming with, something I didn't like on an ego so it was a good throwaway juice, comes out even stronger on the Reo. My first Reo (mini) came in today so I'm still learning... although this thread didn't help me figure out my issue, it's really informative!

Well if you don't figure it out, I'm sure someone here will help guide you!

Thanks! I've been slinking around these threads, reading but staying on the fringe. Ya'll being so helpful and your enthusiasm for the Reo is what convinced me to take the plunge and buy one. I'm glad I did because I now know why ya'll love your Reos so much.

No need to stay on the fringe. Pop on in to the Lounge anytime and don't worry about interrupting; when it's busy, there are usually dozens of conversations going on at once. We multi-task :)

To me, this is the curse of the bottom feeder. I struggled with this myself and I am pretty sure I know the cause. This happens when partially vaporized juice gets sucked back into the bottle due to gravity or suction, thus contaminating the juice in the bottle and changing it's flavor profile. I switch between a bunch of different devices so over time the juice in the bottles get contaminated in this way and I need to dump them out, clean the bottle and start from scratch. To get around this I've been filling my bottles less and less.

It would be great if there was a way to prevent the juice from the atty/catch cup contaminating the bottle. Maybe a valve or something that stops backflow in the bottle but allows juice unimpeded from the bottle to the atomizer? I've seen this on other devices (not PVs), but I'm sure something similar could be designed on a smaller scale for a bottom feeder.

I've owned several bottom feeders and I've had this issue with all of them. I do think some juices are more susceptible than others in terms of souring or becoming contaminated. It also depends a lot on your vaping style. Those who vape an entire bottle in one day may not even have this issue, but people who take days to finish a bottle on the other hand, may.

Actually, that inspires something of a test... I'm going to see what kind of contamination I'm getting with the o-ring delete (since the seal seems to be so much better...) A little PG with some caramel coloring should do the trick...

I think its worse if you over squonk too. That juice sits in the atty and burns.
I've never noticed any going back in and contaminating but I could see where its possible.

With so many REOs I have some 6ml bottles that go 5-7 days before I re-fill.
Sometimes i get some strange taste, but if I put a new/clean atty on all is good again so I think the juice in the bottle is fine.

Well, I just got my 901's in and have been playing with them. Oh, my. Whoever has ever said that the flavor is great on these wasn't lying at all. I think I'm in love.

All new attys have great taste .... the trick is if they can keep the flavor going.
I was pretty keen on the 901 for the first week, but I can still make a 510 taste the best for the longest period of time.

But we all know vaping varies per individual ..... Congrats for finding an atty your enjoying ..... Its a great feeling.
It took me 8 months to go through all the types and Brands to find the best for me :)
