I quit cigs Jan 2 using an eGo-C kit (recommended by a co-worker), and while it managed to keep me off the burning white sticks, its finicky-ness and unreliability prompted me to delve a bit further, initially with additional cartos and attys, then on to tanks and dripping, and once I started dripping, all my research pointed to bottomfeeders, which naturally led me to the REO. After reading all of the rave reviews and posts by the loyal followers here I was pretty much a convert, but what really tipped the scales was seeing how easily accessible and involved the manufacturer was.
So I pulled the trigger and my VV Grand arrived 1/25/13 and I absolutely love it; my eGo batts sit in my desk in the off chance I forget my extra batts or an atty goes awry, or I want to sample a flavor before filling a whole bottle with it.
But I am having somewhat of a problem getting good atomizers and keeping them good. I initially had good luck with standard Joye LR attys, but they seem to have difficulty with any of the thinner, more PG, juices and end up gurgling and producing poor vapor with anything less than about 50/50 PG/VG
Ive had luck with some of the SmokTech (Tek?) Dual-Coil LR attys with the thinner juices but they seem to clog quickly and 2 of the 5 Ive purchased are so restrictive I feel Im about to suck my hair back into my head just trying to get a puff (this was straight out of the package too)
I try cleaning the ones that perform well once they seem to start acting funny (using "Vladamir's Revenge-" $10 a half-gallon Vodka), but then it's a day-long struggle to get them back to where they were, and that only seems to last a day or two.
So I feel that in my haste to get right to the best device I may have missed some of the learned experiences others have gleaned from time spent messing about with other devices and their attendant attys/cartos. Ive got a Reomizer incoming (should arrive today), and some of the Vapage AMG hybrids on the way as well, but anyone have any good advice on some solid performing attys? Oh, and Ive tried a few cartos as well, and they just seem to take the joy out of the bottomfeeder principle; I feel they leech all the tastes Ive come to expect from my juices. Im not opposed to staying with the higher VG juices if thats whats necessary, but I just wondered if anyone had any atty advice for someone who jumped in perhaps a little too quickly.
