Man00ver here, joining the discussion after lots of lurking!

I'm two weeks quit now from a 35-year habit, since I spotted the new madvapes store in my north Georgia neighborhood. Walked out with an eGO ARO Winder kit and a bottle of tobacco-flavored 16mg juice, and amazingly walked away from the butts. It was impulse, really. I've been telling myself for years to quit before I'm 50, and it looks like I'll make it after all! No New Year's resolution, no gum or patch, just on a whim I've joined the whole new world of smokeless fun and flavor.

Thanks for all the good info I've found here, and in advance for the good stuff to come!

P.S. You enablers better not make me regret this. I can feel the acquisition disorder stalking me already. Too many fabulous juices and gadgets!!!

Welcome John !!! Yeah, you'll likely get shinyitus. Most of us do. What ever it took to get me away from analogs is fine with me. I would suggest a MVP 2.0 for your collection. It lasts a long time, VV/VW & rock dependable. It's one of the best, if not the best, regulated devices available. Under $40, delivered from a US seller on ebay. It'll give you plenty of time to study & learn about how many different kinds of devices there are out there and there are MANY !!! We reallt enjoy vaping in this house and this is a great place to learn. Congrats & Enjoy !!!!!!!

Thanks for the greet and the tip! In fact, I already had scoped out the MVP2 after seeing YouTube guru GrimmGreen's glowing review. But just lately, a fellow juice sampler at MV showed off his ELeaf I-stick. Ooooooo. Must...wait...until...Christmas...for...mod...purchase. MUST! Lord knows what will have caught my eye by then....

Welcome! Are you using it yet?

Just one thing--if you slip and smoke, no big deal--just pick up the vaporizer again and keep going.

Some of us go over instantly with no problems and no regrets. Some have a few problems. Some, like me, need 3 full months to make the switch over to vaping. Persevere and you'll get there eventually!

I'm afraid you're most likely right about me, but I'm going to test out my newfound self-discipline for the next couple months. It'll be tough but I'll try to be tougher. Thanks for the wave!

PS - I'm no stranger to Geekville. UNIX SA/App Support/TS Manager since '92.

Welcome and congrats on quitting. I quit about a month ago. Upgrade from a pen to a mvp 2.0 and loving it. Cant wait to take the next step in vaping

Congratulations yourself(selves), and thanks for the welcome. Glad to know how many others have had success with this.
