Jumping in...

I just started vaping a little over three months ago. I was smoking three packs of Marlboro Menthols a day and chewing on top of that. I bought my first Ecig when I was out to pick up a carton of cigarettes. I did not like it much at first but after puffing one for a couple of days I went back to get a new one because the first one I bought did not work. When I entered the store I seen a guy puffing on an Itazte SVG and decided to buy one. I really liked the SVG with an Aspire tank because it seemed to be more like smoking to me.

A week later I was reading a local Craigslist ad and found a guy selling a first run 4Nine. He asked me to meet him at a vapeshop to look at it. When I got there, I was amazed at how beautiful some of the authentic mods were, so I shelled out about four hundred dollars and bought a first run Chi Megan with an authentic Tugboat RDA.

Two months later, I now own about 35 authentic mods, many first runs, and have spent well over 15,000 dollars on mods, RDA's and tanks. I now build my own coils and have not even considered smoking another cigarette. I believe vaping has most likely saved my life and at the least, steered me away from having a stroke.

You should buy yourself a few VW mods and a couple of tanks. You know that old cigarette money is NEEDING to be spent on a big fat reward for good behavior! I love me a big fat reward and a guy just can't have enough spare setups.

Seriously, why fight it, resistance is futile.

Heh good luck and welcome to the madness. I too kind of fell into it quite by accident. 40 year on and off habit for me. This forum is awesome, most of the people are too :)

Tyger, that's a striking tale of salvation, no doubt. I'm a bit of a collector myself, so I recognize the impulse to stack beautiful things on display. Having collected a lovely and strong partner in life some time ago, I feel certain if I were to quickly spend that much on vaping, she would send my head rolling, or at least call for the padded truck to haul me away. I don't think I could blame her, even!

That said, I'm wondering if you have some pictures I should be drooling over. Because I'm thinking my one-year quit anniversary might merit some kind of showpiece. Like a monument of sorts. Yeah, I could make that work. Show me your stuff.

I must be crazy to flirt with that kind of temptation.

Anyway, congrats on getting quit of that heavy habit! The smoking, I mean. :)

Thanks, Davey! Though after only two weeks at this, I've really spent more than I've saved at this point. Gotta be a good boy for a little while and bank some credit! Your avatar isn't helping, I must say.... :)

Your welcome! yes my avatar is only a small representation of my well deserved rewards :) I am only three months into the current vape scene, did it years ago with 510's and am actually ahead cash wise...............again..................for a little while................ skulks quetly and sheepishly off towards eBay................

Just realized that doesn't include my wife saving about 500 bucks not buying her cigars. Heh, and she didn't spend a dime on gear......... imagine that :D

The beginning is the investment part where money is concerned.. if you can make your money back in comparison to cigarette packs within 6 months, you're well on your way. Some people end up spending as much, but at least mods stay, while coffin nails end up in smoke and trash.

I stopped counting e-juice expenditure, but hardware-wise, I'm definitely in the clear already (6 months in 8 days and spent a good thousand dollars on mods and tanks). Research and thought can help keep the shinyitis in check. The real point is that it's more about health than money anyways... what good is money if you're not around to spend it?

Good example of investing in saving your own life, even if that's an extreme example. If you go back to smoking, will you put my name in your will for your mods and juices? :)facepalm: not sure that was in good taste. Puns intended after reading back. I need to rebuild my coil pronto...)
