Check post #69 in this thread... I detailed about cleaning and refilling MF cartos there.

Also, any battery that runs at 3.6 or 3.7 volts should create the same effect as a MaxxFusion battery with the MF cartos... I think Riva batteries run consistently at that voltage, so all you would need is an adapter...
yes, using a ego type battery does work with the adapter. The regular 510 batteries don't seem to work as well.
For someone looking for a "similar to analogue" look and feel like I was the bloog battery and cart combo was just right.

The unfortunate part is that most eGo batts only run at 3.2 volts. Yes the cartos will work at that voltage, but not NEARLY as well as at 3.6. the resistance of MaxxFusion cartos is designed to work in tandem at 3.6 volts. Ask anyone who has experimented with other voltages and they will tell you they have been disappointed.

I absolutely love my XL automatic KR808D-1! Cartomizers last forever, VG juice wicks well and produces tons of vapor, tastes strong, no burning. switching batteries is even easier now with the new dual PCC.
I have, however, received some cartomizers from China that were juice hogs and burnt like 510's.
So, how do we deduce which coils, ohms, and caps make for the best vape? Do you guys really think Bloog makes the best 808's? Why?

The bloog batts have a higher capacity than regular KR808's of equal length, 20-40mAh more.

Bloog batteries are also regulated at 3.6v, whereas KR808's are unregulated, and begin at 4.2v on a full charge and drop as the charge charge dwindles.

Then you have the best cartos are I ever tried. Horizontal coil isolated from the polyfill = NO BURNING, plus a two stage wicking system. Add to that a super sensitive auto switch that doesn't require a primer puff.

The ONLY downside is that the batts and cartos are meant to work together.. you won't get the same performance out of a MaxxFusion carto on a normal 808 as you would on a Bloog battery - the voltage on KR808's is too high.

So you have to stick to Bloog parts, which are a little pricey.. But, if you use the cleaning method I detailed in post #69, you will get indefinite life out of your cartomizers if you don't abuse them by running them completely dry. You don't have to clean them after every fill, just when you notice a flavour change or drop in performance.

Somebody did the math on this site with regards to Volts and ohms and how to match them up... I have to go to work so I can't search around for it right now, but if you do some digging you will find it. What it boils down to is WATTS, and nothing else, except quality control, of course ;)

Wow! Those were very helpful replies. The tricky part seems to be finding an 808 vendor that lists coil type, ohm rating, or cap style for 808's. If we do the research, they can do the development and supply. If Bloog ends up blowing the competition away, I guess I'll just have to start nagging them about my white batteries and cartos. LOL

My Bloog is ordered and I just gotta wait for a call to pick it up. I'm so happy I'm doing cart wheels. Thanks Crow I went back into the site and it didn't say they were out this time (strange).

I can't say it enough ECF rocks!!!!!

Thank you every one, I'll keep you posted as to my switch from analog to Bloog. I can almost smell the roses. :)

Guess I was the one that emptied out the last 5 black cartos.. sorry about that :) If I get one that's junk/trash I'll take the pipe cutters and open it up.. unless someone here has already done that ?

[edit: Looks like someone has already done the autopsy for me :) ]

Thanks for that link. I was on the fence with these things, but seeing that burnt polyfill, I am going to go with a bottom-feeder mod instead.

I have been using the bloog carto's now for over 2 weeks and I do love them better than any other's except I really like my vortex's carto's that i mod its real pure like driping but not as hot as my bloogs. I use them on my 808 manual bat from V4L and have good results. I like the manual because i can draw as much as i want or need without a problem and the blogs carto's dont burn up like the other carto's. don't need a primer because i hit the button 1 sec before draw and you can hear the juice starting to burn. I would start with the carto's first than maybe the batts and I think you will see a diffrance from reg carto's. I get a nice draw on my 808 without have to draw hard also. Will problaby try the bloog batts when i need to replace these but it will have to wait till after I get my Darwin.

Has anyone seen/tried the Volt by smokeless image? It's a copy of the Bloog Maxx Fusion, with the same PCC.
prowht_1.jpg

I think it costs $64 for the "Pro Starter" kit which includes 2 batteries, 5 cartos, and the PCC. Far less expensive but you don't get the passthrough, usb charger, and wall adapter. I think the all-in-one kit is around $100, kinda the same as bloog, which I don't really understand...

I don't trust the 1 or 2 reviews of the "comparison" on this site or youtube. I need a trustworthy, informative reviewer to compare both the Volt and Bloog before I go and buy either one.

It may come with the same KR808 PCC, but that battery does not look like a bloog battery. Bloogs have a flat LED at the tip, not a rounded one. Only way to tell would be to find what voltage it runs at at a full charge. 4+ volts = KR808D-1, 3.6 volts = bloog battery.
