Is it the Cartos or the Batterys? Do the Volt cartos hit harder on the Bloog battery as well?

Also, it could be a manufacturing thing too. I did notice that my "Red" cartos didn't hit as hard as my "Black" cartos, and I'd think that may have something to do with it?

Volt cartos do hit harder on the Bloog battery.

I thought I remembered Leaford talking about upping the resistance so people can use the 5v passthrough.

If I am remembering right, that seems like a bad business decision, since most of the sales surround batteries.

Thanks for the Volt info. I was looking for a dependable starter kit to have here at the house when people come knocking, looking for information about ecigs. I can't seem to knock the idea of "it has to look like a cigarette" out of some of their heads, so having one here that looks like a cigarette might be of some help. I am sure it must be daunting when they come over and I haul out my tackle box full o' ecig stuff... mods etc, but the thing they seem to focus on all the time is the damn syringes....lol they must think I'm some kind of junkie....

Oh, and thanks for the HEATWAVE coupon code.... I saved $20 on 2 kits!!!! Annnnnnd the shipping was reasonable too!

[ Like literally every country except Canada. Kinda feels like we're getting hosed. The volt is the BEST you will find, and thats from a veteran vaper. I have tried everything from a 510, 4081, 401, 801, and all in between. I love my volt and the pcc rocks not having to worry about the baterry going dead, just charge and vape.

It would be cheaper to have an American order one, ship it to his house, and then have him ship it up here.

Argh. Im just venting... Maybe I'll check out the Volt.[/QUOTE]

Qucik question about the Volt - it says under Blank carts not to fill them on an auto battery. Do they just mean while it's connected? Anyone buggered up their Volt by getting juice in the sensor yet?

Yes, just while connected to the battery. Just be sure the carto isn't leaking (overfilled) and the threads/battery end are clean before attaching to an Auto battery. I personally haven't burnt out a battery yet, but I've heard of a couple people doing it on the Bloog subforum.

I leaked into an auto 510. It's toast. I forgot to check if the carto was leaky and sure enough it was. Oh well.

Yes, the Bloog/Volt carto should NOT be filled while it is still connected to the auto-batt because liquid will still fry the sound activated switch.

Method:

1 - Remove near empty carto from the battery
2 - Remove plastic cap, wiping it clean with a kleenex/ bandanna (whatever you prefer to use for cleaning leaks or stray juice)
3 - Fill carto with your favorite juice until full (juice starts dripping out of the bottom)
4 - Gently blow through the carto into your kleenex/ bandanna until any excess juice has been removed
4 - Replace on batt and vape

This goes for the Bloog or the Volt. And as for the price point, I should have waited for a week or two and just ordered the Volt from SmokelessImage since they are pretty much the exact same unit. In the current market the Volt wins in price and performance while the Bloog is better for those who "want it yesterday" and those who don't care about price.

Either way the new KR line is very good, short of that cheap crappy PCC that was supposed to look "techy" but ended up "chintzy" IMO

The only thing I'd add to your fill method noiz, is stick a cut Q-Tip partially down the air-tube of the carto. Helps block juice from running down there and you can fill the top of the carto and let it all seep in.

Love these new horizontal coil cartos. The Go-Go's and VOLTS are my favorite way to vape

Great news? Really?

Because when Bloog announced they had a Canadian distributer, lo and behold, the price increased by 50% for us Canucks. I'm hesitant to believe the same thing won't happen to the Volt.

Depends on the retailer. I'm hoping it's someone who's not carrying the Bloog also.

If that isn't the case, oh well, I'll just order earlier from smokeless image.

They don't warn Canadians against ordering their gear like Bloog

You can't even order directly from Bloog anymore. Canada was removed from their drop down list. I imagine Smokeless Image will follow suit.

Ugh. Paying 1/3 more and double the shipping costs doesn't sound good to me.

Going to post my concerns in the official S.I. thread.

Currently I have 6 510's, a ego-T, a kr808 (v4L), Spark Plug v3, V2cig, 2 Volts, and 3 Bloogs. I have to say of them all the best would of course be the 5v mod but of the stick ones the Bloog seems to perform the best for me. Yes a 510 has potential for more but never really got that into it. As for the kr808 models the v4L was standard performance, v2cig is just junk, Volt was awesome and Bloog close to volt but... seems to vape my liquids a little better.

BUT! Considering where your ordering from... get the volt. Yes the Bloog is worth the price but why would you pay so much more for (maybe) a slightly better TH or vapor volume? Its not worth it. Volt performs admirably. Is it the best? prob not. Does it need to be... heck no! as long as it works for people that's all that matters.

Unfortunately this is what you have to live with north of the border. Depending on what the packaging is made of, and what materials they declare on the customs docs, the importer of record may need to pay taxes and duties on the proudct. A lot of US manufacturers cover these import fees when shipping to end-users by listing them selves as the importer of record, but won't do the same for a distributor. If the distributor is listed as importer of record, and the product is subject to duties, that all adds to the cost of the product. Not to mention, shipping costs for importing and then adding their mark-up to sell to their customers. I'm sure most e-cig retailers in Canada are working on double-digit margins, as the market will still bare those costs. Once the product becomes more popular, and there is more competition, margins will erode (which benefits the customers, but in some cases can put the retailer out of business).

Even with our dollar over par, it's STILL more expensive to land product in Canada than purchase from the US. Reality sucks, but not much you can do about it running an import business.

Yeah, I mean, in my opinion a dedicated Canadian distributer should not mean the price increases. Not saying that's what will happen, just saying it happened with the Bloog. And for Bloog to sell to every country except Canada... well it's collusion.
Not a fan of that sort of business practice.

Got assurance in the S.I. thread that options will still be available....

Well there are some things I know and some I don't. The new distributor can charge whatever they want. The deal is not exclusive so there could be more then one Canadian supplier...we have been approached by a few :)

Until some sort of exclusivity deal would be reached we will yes still ship to you guys :) (so that would lead me to believe they will set a reasonable price)... and no we would never throw a whole Country under a bus :p ....if we were ever to make an exclusive deal like that....they would have to match the quality and performance of SI and we would make sure there was a fair price point :)

And he didn't say "read my lips" ;)
