Hi All,
I'm pretty new to this. I read about this on CC and looked it up and landed on this site, Got me a 510 with some marlboro juice and analog free for about 9 days now. Now my questions .... When I inhale I dont taste much but when I exhale a lot of mist (or smoke) comes out .... am I getting a decent hit of nicotine even though I dont taste it? Seems to be keeping me satisfied. # 2Dripping. I tried this by dripping a couple of drops onto the element and putting a blank cartridge back on and smoking it ... is this all there is to dripping? Sorry for the questions but I am in the AF in Iraq and the net is horrible over here.
Thanks

Welcome to vaping, enjoy the ride.

1. Did you taste the nicotine when you where smoking? What did it taste like?
If it's keeping you satisfied, that's what matters.
Start experimenting with different flavored juices, that's where the different tastes will come from.

2. Yep, that's it to dripping. You can get a "Drip Tip", which is just a hollowed out cartridge. They make it convenient so you don't have to remove the cart when you drip, you just drip it straight through the hole in the "Drip Tip".

congrags on 9 days, it get's easier and easier, and eventually you'll stop counting..

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. No I never tasted the nicotine per say but the smoke was stronger on different brands. Seems like the more I puff on this the weaker it is, still a lot of vapor but little to no taste. Its too late for me to order flavors now as I wont be here too much longer, I just wanted to make sure I'm getting enough of the nicotine (18mg) to keep me satisfied. It does seem to be doing just that but just wanted to know for sure.

Remember, your taste buds are pretty messed up from xx years of smoking.
That may have something to do with it.

How are you hitting it?
Ecigs are different from regular cigs.
So you can't hit an Ecig the same way you hit a regular cig.

Take longer/slower/softer drags.
Draw it into your mouth first, a nice long soft and slow drag.
Then inhale it to your lungs.

That will produce the best all around vapor. both volume and quality.

I know i'm getting a decent hit. I basically quit smoking the minute i started vaping. It's been easier than anything else i've ever done.

As long as you aren't hearing the gurgling noise (flooded atty), or getting the burnt metallic taste (dry atty), and are vaping with nicotine, you should be getting what you need, although most of us have to experiment until we get the right amount of nicotine.

I am new (2days) I have a 510 and I am using the preloaded carts that came with it. I am hearing the gurgling noise all the time. Could you tell me what I am doing wrong?

You're not refilling them or dripping into the atty? I dunno, but if you unscrew the atty and take the cart off, you can blow the excess out. Blow into the threaded end, the end that you screw the battery onto, and be sure to have a paper towel to catch the flying juice with. A flooded atty won't give you much flavor, vapor, or nic, and will burn out and die sooner, so you want to keep it from flooding as much as possible, while still keeping it wet (as letting it remain completely dry is also not good for the lifespan of the atty).

Actually, clean it as infrequently as possible. When it becomes too hard to hit, then do a dry burn - remove the cart but not the atty, hold the switch on for no more than 5-7 seconds (it should smoke and glow orange), then keep pounding away like that until as much gunk gets burned off as possible. You will probably also burn through your battery, but if you have a backup or two it's worth it. Note that if you hold down the switch for too long you could "pop" your atty, frying it permanently, so be careful and have an extra atty on hand. It's pretty easy to get the hang of.

I never dry burn mine anymore, I just blow them out, or blow water thru them a few times, then I blow out as much of the water as I can, then I add in like 5-7 drops of some straight vg and blow that out, then I'll vape that till its wicked well and the waters been vaped out, then add in my juice, been doing it that way for a few months now and I never get a burnt taste and I have yet to lose an atty or even see my ohms go up :)
