Could the forum mods make it so that thread starters have to post at least one picture when they are reviewing any product?

.....I am looking for a new electronic cigarette and so I enter the E-Cigarette reviews partition of this forum and find that many fail to post a simple picture of what they are reviewing.

I just think that it would be helpful and expedite the process of discovering new reviewed products if we could see the picture right off. I know that if I don't like the way it looks I don't care how many bells and whistles it might have I'm not going to buy it.

Maybe the mods could, I'm not sure? But I've found Google works wonders when I don't know what a particular product is.

Right, it's no big deal, but opening up another browser tab and doing a Google search seems a little annoying to me when all the thread starter has to do is remember to post a simple picture in his first post.

Bear in mind, it's possible that some folks don't have a decent enough camera to take the appropriate closeup shots that some reviews would require. And while a "generic" picture may give an idea of what the item looks like, it may not be sharp enough to provide the type of information many look for when researching a new item.

I have an el cheapo camera that takes good generic shots, but it stinks to high heaven for closeups.

It doesn't even have to be their own picture. It could be a quality one found at the manufacturers website. Basically, I just think that it would less of a hassle if there was a (any) picture of the product you are reviewing on the first post so that readers don't have to do their own Google search to find reviewed product image.

I'm being a lazy ......., I know. :p And it's no big deal. Just something that I think would be helpful.

Sure it would be nice if there was a photo but it's not easy for some people to write a review, so to force them to take a pic and post it or google for a pic which you could do yourself would deter some people from posting reviews. Google Images will give you tons of photos of what ever you're looking for. It's not that hard.
