Yup, after all my research, aka driving myself crazy comparing the same numbers over and over again on every available mod, those nights of going to bed thinking about the sigelei Zmax and waking up thinking about the Smoktech Groove, I bought a Vamo. I picked up a charger and some 18350 and 18650 batts. I hope it'll ship today and get here next week, because after it comes in the mail, all this mental angush should go away, or at least lessen for a while ...

You won't regret it! I love mine! This was my first "mod" and I love the fact that all I have to do is swap out the battery instead of having to plug the whole thing in.
What finish did you get? I got the stainless steel and its nice...no fingerprints and I have yet to find a scratch on it.

I got Gun Metal, but I've read that that finish sucks so I'm a little worried. I got the last one from the site too.

Smoktek just called and said they are out of the gun metal Vamo and asked whether I'd like a stainless one instead. I'm pretty happy about this, I heard the gun metal wears off immidiately. Just got the tracking number too. Yay vapemail!

I've been happy with my three chrome Vamos. Of course, I wrap the two bottom segments in black textured Con-tact vinyl to keep them from slipping out of my hands. 
About 90% of the time, my VAMO is in a crocheted holder my fiancee made for me to keep around my neck. So it's finish is actually holding up pretty nicely Does have a small chip in it, but not enough for me to complain about. You'll like the VAMO though. Good choice for a 1st mod.

And in case anyone was wondering, the eGo Drip Cone from Clouds of Vapor fits like a dream on the Vamo.
I have a Cisco Spec 1.5 ohm atty under that eGo cone shield.

Congrats on the new purchase. I have had a Vamo for a few months and really enjoy it.
I've had mine a day now and I love it. This is my first mod and I'm blown away by how much better this is than my eGo Twist. Attys just sing on it, and I couldn't be happier. REALLY glad they didin't have any gun metals left ...
