Hey all,

Pbusardo convinced me to give these a shot :) So...I just bought my first ViVi Nova and eagerly awaiting :)

So question 1) how easy are these to change out ejuice in (what do you do to clean them out so you dont mix juice flavors)? 2) Im a fairly heavy vaper...so how long would you say one atty head will last?

Thanks all!! :vapor:

To change flavors, I just clean the tank parts out and replace with a new head and clean the old one for the next use. Takes less than 5 minutes to clean and dry the tank itself.

I've had some heads last thru 5 cleanings, and the only dead one I have was a dry burning mistake. I've also broken the wicks , but even with two on one side, three on the other they function just fine.

I vape pretty heavy I guess, 4-7 ml a day and usually at 9 watts or above, and the ten I bought almost a month ago are all still going.

HTH,

Go Giants!

Depending what juice was in there before, I often just blot off the wicks with a paper towel, quickly rinse the metal and plastic parts, fill up and vape. I can rarely taste the first juice.

Edit: Haven't lost a head (well, not a Vivi head anyway) yet. Been rotating two out of the three I got with the tank for a couple of months now. Have yet to christen the third.

I have a coworker that has been on the same 2.4 head since he bought his nova almost a month ago. These things are the best thing since sliced bread. I have two of them and have found that cotton wick tastes much better than the silica. I would venture to say that if you bought say 200ft of kanthal and a roll of 100% cotton yarn, you could make a nova last a SERIOUS amount of time with just the heads it comes with

I hate to ninja a thread, but my question sorta fits here. I have some mini novas, 2.4 ohm, on their way and I also have a dark, sweet e-liquid. This liquid doesn't do well at all in a Phoenix BC and turns black by the time its done. I'm pretty sure this has been behind some of my dead Phoenixes. How do the Novas hold up to juices like this? It's 60pg 40vg 24mg nic on a standard 650mah ego batt.

Do you guys prefer long or short wicks?

I gather that it doesn't really matter taste wise if you vape the lighter, more simple juices (like me.) If you use more complex juices (my husband and others here) the taste can get muted as the juice travels up the long wick. These guys usually prefer the short wicked versions.

Of course, you have to balance that with the need to tilt the short wicks to keep them wet. Not a problem for me, but some seem to hate it.

they will do BB juice so I would venture to say 60/40 will work well

Hey Bonnie!

I'm pretty sure this darkening of juices is largely due to sugars caramelizing on the coil and washing off into the juice. How much this happens, of course, depends on temperature, which depends on design, voltage and probably other things I don't understand.

But you probably knew all that. I can tell you that the ones that darken in my stardusts also darken in my vivi. I barely used the phoenix, so can't help you there.

My VV Nova is coming in TODAY! Pretty pumped, I have been loving the Kanger T2, but got one of these for my LT for non-stop chain vaping at home. I know I'm probably going to just bite the bullet and get a mini for out and about, they seem to fit nicely on a Twist.

Thanks for the post, morganmeltz, I was curious as to how long the heads lasted on these. Will look into getting some materials for rewicking with cotton at some point.

I actually wasn't sure what happened that caused juice to darken so much. Thank you! It was always alarming to me to vape some of my white chocolate and have it turn black then run a few completely clear juices through it and have them turn black, too. I've started keeping one cart just for the dark stuff and rinse it more frequently than the others. That caramelizing is a pain to deal with.

I'm getting mine today, too!!!!! I can't believe it because it shipped on Saturday! This beats all I've ever seen, and I only got first class shipping. Can't wait to rip into them.

... I ordered mine through GotVapes, of course.

Edit: Also, the vendor you mentioned isn't on the list of official vendors that carry Vision products like the vivi nova so you're probably getting a knock off. I wouldn't review it as the vivi nova once you've given it a try. Disclaimer: I could always be wrong, just going by what Chris told us about official vendors.

Well, I'm vaping on mine at the moment. I wasn't sure about it so I put in one of my acceptable but not fantastic juices, blackberry, and I'm breaking it in with that. I'm guessing a tank full should be enough, right?

So far, pretty good. Tons, and I mean TONS, of vapor. Filled it to 1.5ml 70/30 pg heavy juice. It absorbed quite a bit on its own, always a good sign. I think I'll love this thing :) Gonna put something yummier in it for the next tank and we'll see what's what. I think it'll get a great review by me, though.

Oh, yeah... For me, less than a quarter of a tank is good enough. :)

I dunno, I'm still getting sort of a strange, chemically aftertaste that I don't get from other cartos. It's not completely unfamiliar, but I can't remember what else did it. Might just be lingering blackberry, but I refilled it with strawberry pie. I'll get through this one and put another flavor in to see if it changes. I mean, the flavor is good! It's just the aftertaste.

Edit: On second thought, it might just be me. I just have a bad taste in my mouth I can't get rid of. My stomach's a little sour today and that's probably why. What a crappy day to have this happen!
