I have a S.S. Vtube from Apollo.
I bought a Vivi Nova and put it on it.
Do I need an Ego to 510 to make it work?
From what I understand, the S.S. is suppose ton have a built in Ego adapter.
I* put the LR atty inn the Vivi and tried it on a low voltage, NOTHING.
Turned the voltage, NOTHING.
Turned it up ssome more, NOTHING.
I didn't try another Atty, but later thought maybe it was D.O.A.
Any ideas??!!

it's not making contact with the battery.. you need a 510 to 510 extender or something

I don;'t think it needs a 510 to 510 extender.
It is raised where you screw on the atty.
I am able to use the standard atties from Apollo, which I can use on my other Vtube (regular).
The atties screw right dowwn to the surface of the regular Vtube.
But the S.S, has a raised area.
So I don't think I need an extention.
I read somewhere (Apllo's site I think) that the S.S. had a built in Ego adapter.

Use a multimeter to see if you are seeing any resistance... you can test just the head as well as the complete VN that way. The VN also comes with 3 different heads, it is also easy enough to check one of the other heads to see if you have a bad one or not.

I"ll give that a try.
Will the Vivi work on an Ego connection, without an adapter?
I'm wondering if that is the problem.
It's a 510,but I'mn underastanding it has an Ego adapter built in.
I think I'll go to Apollo and do the Chat thing.
I can Chat until 11:00 Pacific Time.
I'll go ask some questions and see what I can learn.

I used to have to use adapters all the time, until I started using my PC screwdriver set to raise the center post pin out and fix the positive/negative contacts from shorting. It can be kinda tricky at first, but it's safer than using a thumbnail to wedge the pin up gently over the outside of the post. The pin in the center of the battery connection ought to always stick out a little further than the rest to make a proper connection.
