Just bought my first starter kit---impulse decision ok?

Hello everyone,

I've tried ecigs before (apollo starter kit), but the thickness of the ecig bothered me because it was awkward to hold. It didn't fit between my fingers like a real one, so I kind of had to make a fist around it. Although it satisfied my cravings for the most part, it started to get too harsh over time, and I stopped using it after I went to take a drag, and this gross tasting juice entered my mouth, leaving a rancid taste in my mouth.

This time around I want something that actually feels like an analogue, though I'm open to using more sophisticated vaping systems in the future. I did some research and apparently kr8s are best for noobs like me.

After doing sport today and suffering from chest pain, I'm determined to give e cigs another shot. I'm really anxious to start, so I just made an impulse purchase: a starter kit, cartomizers in different flavors, and some e liquid in different flavors. It did not say KR8 explicitly on the site, but is it a KR8? Do you guys think this will be good for me? Does anyone have any experience with this product or site? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Not exactly what I would go for knowing what I know now but hopefully it works for you! I started with a kit that looked like a cig and quickly realized that it wasn't going to cut it. The battery life and short lived carto's were very discouraging. But maybe with the pcc and a ton of backup cartos it will work for you. I really hope it does. I ended up picking up a joye ego and various clearomizers. The longer battery life and amount of juice they carry did the trick for me.

Switching to a higher voltage device instead of a cig-alike virtually eliminated those dry juice pulls for me.Once in awhile I'll still get one but they arent nearly as frequent as they used to be with a KR808.

Ive seen a lot of people rave about the Ego Twist and Vivi Nova combination.You get the ease of a tank cause you can fill your juice up once per day, the long battery life of an Ego and variable somewhat regulated voltage. Meaning that hit you probably enjoy off of a freshly charged battery stays with you most of the day.

Everyone, I appreciate the help. Kiwivap, that list is great...something to browse through for my next purchase. This forum seems like a friendly place. It can be overwhelming at first with all the brands, products, different recommendations, but I suppose my purchase can't be that bad of a place to start. I did not do much research before buying that small e-cig, but it should be OK inasmuch as it gives me something to build on, i.e. find out what I don't like about it, so I know what to look for in my next purchase. This is an investment after all, and I doubt most find the perfect e-cig for their taste on the first shot. If it takes a couple tries, and more money spent, I'm OK with that, so long as I can get off the analogues. The chest pain after sport yestereday was really the final straw.

So I will post ITT again after trying the e-cig, and hopefully we can use the pros and cons to help me find something better next time.

Not sure if anyone answered this question, but it does look like a kr808 from the pics. They look really similar to the Smokeless Image Volt batts. LOVE the look of that pcc!

But like you said, it's a great place to start and eventually you will get sick of recharging batts and refilling cartos every couple minutes and switch to bigger batts and clearos or tank systems. Just keep in mind that what you have is 808 and the more popular long lasting batteries are 510. So when/if you switch, the equipment you have now may not work with the new stuff without adapters.

I have 4 808 batteries from different brands. They are nice everyone on here is right about the battery life though. I used only two batteries until two weeks ago. So it can be done! Hope it works out for you and that you start feeling better.

Even though it's not close to an analog feel, i would recommend EGO-C Twists. They are very very affordable, and are noob friendly just as long as you know the basic concept of atomizer resistances vs voltages. i have 3 friends who i converted to e-cigs and they are very happy with the Twist.

i also consider the Twist a "gateway" PV (personal vaporizer) in that it you may feel strongly compelled to purchase more advanced PV's such and ProVaris and the like. not saying that the Twist is an underperformer or anything like that. i think natural curiousity may lead you to purchase more advanced PVs (especially if you do a lot of research on what's popular right now in the vaping world, like me!). is that a good thing or a bad thing? depends on the size of your coffers mate!

bottom line - and you will hear this a lot from vaping vets - if whatever you vape takes you off of the analogs, then it's all good!!!

Honestly when it comes to newbies in the vaping world and your stuck on getting a cigarette type of device hands down go with the "Smoov" from house of vapor. If you are older or want something you don't have to play with much then my next recommendation is a KGO kit from hoosier e-cig and get yourself a mini vivi nova and a small ego sleeve to make it look like it belongs on the device.
Now, if you don't mind making some adjustments to your device then the Vision spinner 1300mAh battery
will be a great choice for increasing your voltage and with 1300 mAh should last a bit for you too. Again I would still recommend getting to know the mini vivi nova because they are easy and do a pretty good job.
Now once you get more familiar with other option and you understand how to use them then you can incorporate them in your vaping world unless you are solid to what you like best.

These are just my basic advice to help you get started and be on the right path. Just remember the best vaping device is the one that keeps you off the cigs. I really hope this helps and you find what I said useful. Take care and happy vaping.

Please let me know. I am not sure what is going on just wished the vendor would open the communication line better so people know what is going on and where he is with there box mod. Granted, I don't want him to rush since I do want a flawless box I just wanted to know what is going on. Do you know anything? Thanks buddy?

Of course, anything that starts you on the road to getting off stinkies is good for you.

Believe me, people have started with much worse.....go back and read early posts from 2010, 2011, before a lot of the better stuff we're used to NOW was even out there.........

Worse case scenario.......this kit will become your backup. You need a backup kit, so every first investment can be looked at this way. you will learn a bit about vaping and such.

The kit you bought looks stylish. Some people start with one like that and are fine. Some move on to something bigger for more battery life between charges. I hope you are enjoying it!
