Just bought my first E-Cig

I decided to quit smoking after alot of nagging by my significant other, who quit over a year ago cold turkey. I like smoking but not all the bad stuff that goes along with it, someone suggested the Nicorette inhaler so I bought one. I have been using it since Feb. 7 and have only had two analogs but, the urge to smoke is so strong. The inhaler doesn't give that feeling, you cant feel it in your throat or your lungs there's barely any taste. So I started looking around online and came across the electronic cigarette, I remember seeing them at an Auto Show flea market 2 years ago and thought they were kinda funny and never thought about them again. After reading some of the posts on this site and a few others I realized that this was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have spent the last 3 days going through website after website looking for the best price of a decent quality ecig starter kit.
I just purchased the smok tech 510 mega kit from madvapes along with some ejuice of various flavours with 0mg nicotine. I'm really excited to get this kit I can't wait to start vaping and quit smoking.

Congrats, you might want to pick up some liquid with low dosages of NIC though. Nicotine is a major part of the addiction, and you might find yourself still craving even with a ecig.

What if you could live in a world where you could have your cake and eat it too? I live in that world, all the pleasures of smoking without the carcinogens. All these years I said that they should make a quit-smoking plan for people like me who don't actually want to quit - here it is. I never wanted to quit smoking, I just didn't want to die.

Well said. That's exactly how I feel and none of my friends and family seem to get it. Especially the non smokers they'll ask me why I smoke and I say because I like it. Then they always say oh how can you like smoking blah blah blah big long lecture . It's just like people who bite their nails or chew gum or suck on their hair. They can't explain why they do what they do, they just do it. I will definitely get some ejuice with low nicotine once I figure out flavours I prefer and get used to using it. For now I still have my nicorette inhaler for nicotine even though its not any fun lol. I've been browsing so many ejuice suppliers and I want to order them all they sound so tasty. One question I had though, does the vapor expelled smell like the flavour or does it have no smell?

The smell from e-juices vary from not-at-all to pretty fragrant...it really just depends on the flavoring. None I've encountered though could be considered unpleasant in smell; in fact, Boba's Bounty from Alien Visions got my nephew wondering if I had some cookies!

I've also been vaping a banana nut bread e-juice (sorry, but I don't know the maker...I got it at my vapers meeting, and the supplier escapes me...BUT I NEED MORE!!! ), and it certainly got everybody hungry for some breakfast, lol.

lol well thats good. I'm glad they don't have a generic smell, it's bad enough for the last year my bf has been complaining I smell like smoke I don't want him complaining I smell like vapor I'm hoping all these tasty flavours will stop me from eating everything in sight, since I quit the analogs I am constantly hungry I've already gained 5lbs in 1 week. The same 5lbs that I worked my ... off for 2 months to lose in the fall.

Don't misunderstand: the smell from the vapor dissipates rather quickly, and certainly will not linger on your clothes. There's not any concern for third-hand smoke (vapor) here. Your clothes will continue to smell like detergent now!

CONGRATS and welcome to our world!!! I got my 510 kit a week ago, and I've already upgraded!!! You'll love it! If you don't get what you need from the 510, don't get discouraged, you just may need to try a different setup!

Congratulations on your decision!! As others have stated, you should seriously consider some liquid with nic.

Try a few sample packs from different vendors until you find the juice(s) you like!

That's great because I like smelling like detergent now lol. It's amazing how much you can smell cigarette smoke on people when you haven't smoked in just a few days (and how revolting it is)

@porkchops, I'm still using my 510, but I ordered the Inferno-T kit to give that a try, I'm hoping the battery life is better, and I'm looking forward to not having to top off my cart continually!

I just got the eGo-T a few days ago, and I'm absolutely enthralled by it: it works amazingly well, consistent TH and vapor production, and the taste is pretty darn good as well, especially if you blow the atty out religiously between tanks. I've found some thicker juices to be a little temperamental with regard to taste, but I'm hoping to try some thinning with a little (very little I'm told) distilled water the next time I vape them.

I'm not sure about the lingering odors from vapers. I vaped in my coworkers car and then a week later he swore that his car still smelled like toasted marshmallows and wouldnt allow me to vape in it anymore... freak...

Still waiting on my order. Has anyone else placed an order going to Canada being shipped by usps? I need to know how the tracking works, my last update was over a week ago. Will it show when it goes through customs? or does it just stop updating when it leaves the US?

510 megas are nice. Good battery life for a slim model (280mah). I like to use mine with standard soft-cap cartomizers - these
510 Blank Cartomizers

I vape 2 different PVs but I have gotten more than 3 weeks off one carto and it is still working. They are meant to be disposable but if you fill them well to start and then add juice whenever the vapor seems a bit dry or light, a good carto can last more than a week.
