hey i just ordered from here too! got the 84mm mini cigarette promo pack. they charged me 20$ for EMS shipping though? must be a bigger package then some of you are ordering hmm...

either way i got the 84mm mini with 50 cartridges. i'm completely new to this e-cigarette thing...am i always going to have to get cartridges or can i do this 'drip' technique from a cheaper bottle? is it a different method from any other e-cig?

also can anyone comment on their flavours? i mixed and matched the promo pack with HIGH strength marlboros, medium strength mints and medium strength lemon flavours.

how do the different strengths of nicotine affect taste?

Most members much prefer using liquid instead of carts. Better flavor, more variety and much cheaper.

I hope you enjoy vaping but understand that the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance, i.e. 84mm mini. The best reviewed and best liked devices are the manual switch units that have a small button you push so you can heat the atomizer as long as you want. If the mini doesn't turn out to be as good as you hope, try a manual switch device for your next one.

Note: the KENT flavor from ruyan is my favorite tobacco flavor liquid and you should try RY4, so many members love it.

ahh thanks for the feedback and info! i purchased the mini based on this review http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/video-reviews/12581-hi-def-ultra-realistic-dse084-review.html and the followup posts in that thread. doesn't seem so bad? i initially wanted a 2 piece design with the disposable atomizer but i read on this forum about potential problems with something inside those burning up and the possibility of inhaling random burnt material. eeeek.

for future reference, for this specific size of e-cig if i were to buy a bottle of e-juice, do i just drip some into an empty cartridge? are people using a syringe or eyedropper or something? how many drops should i be aiming for? and how would i know when to switch a cartridge assuming theres going to be wear and tear with multiple use of the same cartridge?

and cleaning methods..is there a preferred cleaning method for mini e-cigs? i've read about the pepsi method and blowing method onto a paper towel and such. just wondering if there were 'best practices' for this type of e-cig!

What is EMS? And where is Ruyan located?

I've only ordered overseas from the UK through the Royal Mail and it only took 10 days including weekends. No Customs issues either.

Ruyan is in China and EMS is the shipping company that many China suppliers use.(cheaper than DHL or UPS etc..)
EMS packages arrive in Vancouver and once released Canada Post takes over.
Hope this helps!:)

My orders from Ruyan to the Atlanta area have taken 9 days and 7 days. Pretty good from China.

1. As the filler in the cartridge gets dry, pull the filler out a little bit and put 2-4 more drops on the filler. The filler should ALWAYS be moist. Not pooling, but moist. If you vape the cart dry, you can burn out the atomizer. And then push the filler back down with the end of a wood skewer or a paper clip.
2. I pull the filler out about every 4-5 days, rinse it out good with hot water, let it dry and then fill it up agin with juice. About every couple of weeks, I just throw the filler away and either start using a new cart that his filler in it with not juice. Ruyan sells the blank carts with clean filler in packs of 10 for $1.70 a pack. Or you can get a bag of polyester batting at WalMart for $5 that will last a couple of years and make your own filler.
3. I've been told that the best atomizer cleaning solution is Heat & Kleen popcorn kettle cleaner that the movie theaters use to clean the popcorn makers. It's effective. I clean mind about once every one - two weeks.

I'm still using my original atomzier in my 901, once a week, or when it starts tasting funky or it gets harder to inhale I blow both ends in to paper towel, drip a drop or two, top of a cart and let it sit for a few minutes. then give it a couple puffs right in a row without inhaling and it's usually good to go for another week.

As for carts you pretty much got it right. Usually 7-10 drops into a blank cart, top off with another 2 or 3 after a couple puffs. If it pools up you can use a paper clip to push the filler around a bit and pull it back up. Ohh and I'm too lazy to clean them or refill them, after a week or so they start getting all brown and gunky so I just toss it, they're dirt cheap from HG.

I managed to purchase at the worst possible time of the week. Friday morning, but evening in China and Ruyan Direct was already closed for the weekend. And according to the EMS tracking, the package was dinged in today in Shanghai. So i waited a total of 4 days before the package left china. Hopefully i receive it before this weekend.

Wayne at Ruyan Direct is a fantastic person to order from. He has gone above and beyond with my orders with him. First ordered a penstyle with a bunch of spare parts and carts as my original e-cig was a pen and ... well ... I just loved it. Ordered an M401 at one point and it's okay but ... just couldn't beat my original pen which had died on me and my original supplier closed his doors when all this HC stuff started happening. Anyway, got my order with no problems at all (no worries there, Vapster!) but ... very disappointed with the DSE 801. The atomizers were horrible. One was DOA and the others all leaked like a sieve. After messing around and getting totally frustrated, emailed Wayne with my problems. After he suggested some things to try and they didn't work, he advised me to send everything back for a full refund (minus my shipping cost to get it back to him which, considering how cheap it is to order from him, I didn't mind). He emailed me when he received my package, tested everything out and confirmed the problems with the attys. He explained that, even if he were to replace everything brand new again, these particular atomizers from the factory have a bad reputation for leaking and he felt I might land up being disappointed with the quality again. Maybe not but it could be a crap shoot as to whether I got good attys or not. Suggested I purchase the 510 instead, which has a good reputation and so I did. He refunded my account for all the penstyle stuff and shipped my new order today. I cannot say enough good things about this guy! Sure you wait a little longer to get your stuff but at the prices he sells for, it's worth a few extra days wait. No one I have heard (or read) of has had any problems getting their orders through Customs either. So ... he comes highly recommended from a very satisfied customer! And I really looking forward to getting my 510 after all the great reviews I keep reading about them.

As far as checking the EMS site for info, I have found that it seems to be way behind with it's updates. Always looks like it has taken forever to get out of China and then, the next thing you know, it's at Canada Customs. My first order spent a total of 6 hours there before being released. Definitely recommend ordering from him to anyone.

my original e-cig was a pen

Out of curiosity, what was the model of your original pen - if not an 801?

I'm still using PureSmoker RN4072 atty's but they are on their last legs and I've ordered some 801 atomizers instead now.

Apparently the holes in 'em are bigger so yeah - they may be more susceptible to leaking perhaps.

Hi SuperStack. According to the battery charger, the original pen was something called a KR-108. It worked great but I only had the one atomizer that came with the starter set. By the time I realized that I should have some spares, this whole mess with the FDA and HC had started and it was too late to order spare parts because my supplier had gone offline. Didn't know (still don't) what would be compatable with this model so went to an M401 which was okay but found that the draw was considerably harder than on the penstyle. That's when I finally decided to try another model of pen but then had so many problems with those 801 atomizers. Hope your's work better. It sounds like you may get some good ones or may not - just kind of depends on the batch, I guess. Good luck! Mine leaked so bad that juice was actually covering the outside of the batteries and had to keep wiping them off.

hey there, i'm a noob to the whole e smoking thing.
after much research i opted for the dse901 (lots of parts available and people tended to give it a solid rating.) and i haven't looked back. i also ordered my gear from ryuandirect and it all got to me safe and sound. quick shipping too.
i went for 50 blank cartridges and a bottle of the redbull e liquid.
i find the redbull flavor is a little weak but aside from that it works well.
thats my 2 cents.

Hi SuperStack. According to the battery charger, the original pen was something called a KR-108.

Ah ok, a few places do sell those.

Here's what Cash had to say about all 3 models back in October...

Go with the 801 or 4072 ... It really just depends on if you like 2 or 4 holes. Standard 801 is 4 holes. Standard 4072 is 2 holes. The KR108 are 4 large holes, and is actually considered to be the bottom of the barrel so to speak. Both in quality and price (however, this is not from first hand use, just from what I have seen and been told)

But I guess opinions may vary from person to person - in the end it's all rather subjective. Quality control is also an issue even among the same models.
