I've been looking at the Apollo VTube, especially with it's sale prices going on. But I just can't seem to pull the trigger on buying one.

Right now, I use a KGO with eGo clearomizers. No real complaints. Good vape, it looks good, and it fits so well in my pocket. Battery life is great, and the clearos last me all day.

But like the other folks here with an addiction for buying new PVs, the VTube seems to be calling me. But I don't just want to dump money on something I will grow out of.

I think the ultimate PV would be the Provari. But it costs more than I am prepared to pay right now.

So I guy the questions is, should I buy the VTube or just wait a while and save for the Provari?

If your KGO works for you - why buy anything?

I carry a KGO at work and I use my VTube (or EPower) at home as size doesn't matter. While I can afford a Provari, I just don't see the need for one as most of my vaping is at 3.7V anyway. The reason I have the VTube & EPower is I wanted something that used cheap replaceable batteries...

I agree with NGIB if what you have is working well for you then why buy it. I won't say the provari isn't a good pv, but I will say not everyone needs or wants VV. Unless you find you need the higher voltage, which by the sound of what you are saying you don't at least right now, then something like the v tube or the provari may not be a good option at this time.

I really like my Vtube, only I got mine from a different vendor. But I'll tell ya what, I had forgotten just how handy something as simple as a SD Keyring or Kgo/eGo can be. I had to replace my garage door opener this morning. No easy task if you are 70 years old (one hour job takes 4) That handy little PV probably kept me from burning the house down out of frustration.

Just saying that while the fancy APV's may have their place, so do the simpler ones.

Your join date here is May, 2012. I'm glad you are here, but really if you've not been at this for 2 whole months, I just don't see the need to do this. If you are interested in what a higher wattage set up is like, why dont you just get a few LR cartos on your next buy?

Maybe you will want a VV down the line and that is fine. Give yourself some time to save a bit of money first though?

I agree with you, NGIB, NancyR, and tj99959. I think sometimes I just get carried away looking at new things. The KGO works fine. I appreciate everyones advice.

I get carried away also, haha. Whenever you feel like buying something, give it at least one more week before you pull the trigger.

If you absolutely MUST buy something, why not just try a new juice at 10ml? 6.50 is a lot cheaper than 60$ for a lavatube (even though that is quite a good deal).

Even though I tried to offer sound advice - everyone needs a reliable backup PV. I'm into redundant backups as I never want to smoke again. I have piece of mind knowing my spare PVs are sitting safely in the closet along with extra batteries, chargers, cartos/clearos, and juice. You just never know what the future holds so being prepared is a good thing...

If you find yourself thinking that you wish your Kgo gave you a stronger hit than go for it and pull the trigger but if your Kgo satisfies you 100% of the time than you should wait. I have only been vaping since FEB 2012 but I always felt like I was just shy of what I needed even with 3.7 volt mods with LR cartos. I ended up buying the Provari and finally was 100% satisfied 100% of the time. Not everyone needs 5 or 6 volts to get what they need. If the Kgo gives you what you need now than just stick with it. Good luck no matter what you choose.

Yes, I do agree on the backup, but that could maybe be handled by just getting another Kgo battery....

True, but I feel safer having a different system that uses cheap "flashlight batteries" that aren't specific to e-cigs, never can tell what will happen in the future...

I've got two KGO batteries right now, so I am good for a while. How long do the batteries normally last? Also, if I wait a bit more PVs and mods will come on the market.

I don't own a KGO battery but I've had two Ego batteries that are 9 months old and still workign very well. I imagine KGO is of similar quality but your mileage may vary. I'd say it would be sufficient to have 3 batteries but even better to have 4 in terms of back up. Like NGIB said above, and there's some truth to it, you want maybe another device with removable batteries. Why? Because in a real pinch you can pull up to radio shack or electrical supplier in your town and get yourself a replacement at a decent price. I.e., no waiting on a mailman. The e-power is quite similar to the performance of the KGO put uses a removable battery. I think the new ones are using the 18 diameter series of batts, but you can still probably get the one with the 14 diameter.
