Just changed atomizer, what a difference

I just put on a new atomizer for my 510, and what a difference. I realized the old one wasn't putting out that much vapor, and it was harder to suck on. I put the new one on, and it is a lot better.

I think we should pay more attention to this, because we tend to forget about it.

Glad to see that you figured this out, haha... I think we all have came across this one. Regular cleaning helps and also try giving your old atty a bath, it should bring some if not complete life back to it.

Yeah, some might think this is a silly thread, but I am honestly shocked at the difference. I just rinsed the old atty out and put it in vodka, so hopefully that does the trick.

its been extimated at around 5000 puffs or 30 to 40 ml of liquid thru them.. they wear out.. they need replacing..

this should be common knowledge but for some weird and wonderful reason it isnt..

trog, I've read quite a few of your posts about this, but sometimes, you just have to experience it yourself. But you're right, they do wear out, and they need replacing more often than we initially think.

I guess I need to prepare for using at least 2-3 atomizers a month at a minimum. I still need to see how a cleaned and refreshed atomizer performs. I cleaned one and it was accidentally thrown away before trying it. I will clean this one and then immediately compare it to my new one and see what the difference is.

Do you think there is way to make these things more long lasting, in terms of manufacturing, or do you think they will always be a disposable item with a quick life?

The only hope that we have for maintaining our attys is to find something that will remove the carbon. Problem is that most anything that will disolve carbon will destroy the metal as well. Maybe one day the atty fountain of youth will be discovered.
