Just choked on the plastic cartridge divider

Yep that's right I'm that dumb... I bit down lightly on the cartridge (my hands were busy) and felt something hit the back of my throat an choked my ... off, first I thought it was the wick but then in closer inspection it turned out to be the divider... I can't be the only one who's this dumb what are your stupid stories with vaping? Help me feel not so stupid.

Ummm, perhaps this is dumb and dumber. LOL. But on a standard 510 or ego there is the bat, the atty, and the one piece cartridge. I'm not sure what you mean by divider. I'd like to know so it doesn't happen to me!

I think one even swallowed the piece.......I hope evreything came out alright on that and worked it's way out on him.

There are removable inserts in the mouthpiece. Insert a paperclip end in the hole and it will pull out the first one ...same with the second deeper in it.

yeah those inserts pop out so easy when you nibble on the mouthpiece

Not a great design IMO ! I had one come loose on me but I did not choke on it but after that I just pulled the next one and moved on to another setup.

You are not the only one. I read a post where someone said it actually went in their trachea, but they didn't know it until a week later when they coughed it up. Scary!

When I got these cartos and looked up how to (re)fill them, it said that replacing that small piece with the 2 holes was optional. It is supposed to keep you from getting juice in your mouth. But that it could be vaped with or without that piece. After hearing how many people this has happened to, I think I would go without.

Actually thanks for the warning. I went and checked mine and found one that felt loose. Probably from nibbling on it. I tossed that one and hopefully will remember to keep an eye on them and not vape so hard.

Take the inserts off before you use the tank. Air flows better, you can nibble, and no choking hazard.

I'm still looking for the perfect cap to put over the mouthpiece so I can put it in my pants pocket.
This is the only downside I've found to taking out the inserts.
