...vape in places where you used to have a cigarette (despite being able to do so indoors now). For instance, sitting here at the office right now at work and though I'm by myself in here, I went out to my car and stood there, vaping, like I would have done back when I smoked - just for the familiarity of it all, even though I could have just as easily stayed here and done it.

Anyone else?

I still go outside on my breaks to vape -- even though I'm allowed to vape in my office (and I do). Yeah, part of it is familiarity and habit, but now it's more a choice to go out and get some fresh air -- which is to say, actual fresh air, not fresh air tainted with tobacco smoke. Plus, somehow it really doesn't feel like a break from work if I don't leave the building. I'll even sometimes go out in the winter if it's not too cold and miserable, though I usually stay in, since I have that option now. (Which is just freaking awesome.)

I think part of it, for me anyhow, is the desire to go outside and literally take a break (from fluorescent lights), people, and so on. I'll usually just vape here at the desk but it's often more satisfying to have gone out "to smoke" like I used to. It's mainly psychological, I suppose. What I'd like to try is to keep my PV in my car like I used to keep my cigarettes in my car and go to my car to vape as opposed to keeping it handy in my pocket and vaping here and there. I think the "build up" to the break and the subsequent satisfaction of getting a nic fix is almost more rewarding than just vaping intermittently whenever and wherever. I would imagine that would be hard to do, however, since it's just so convenient and delicious. :)

I still sit at my smoking table on the patio. My Golden Retreiver knows that he's got about 7 minutes of ball playing coming when I head for that table. Been a habit for him for 13 years. He used to head for the door to go inside when he'd see me putting out my cigarette. He's still trying to figure out the vaping thing. That was a long answer to a short question. Yes.

Yes! I miss the solitude and the exercise! I used to walk to the warehouse at work to smoke (and work on a crossword puzzle and drink tea) and now I am vaping at my desk. I got up at the end of the workday yesterday and ached - I was like Why am I aching? and realized I had sat in the chair all day.

At home, I still leave my ecigs in another room where I use to smoke, along with my Kindle and I go there to vape and read a bit,

A little story again, when I got my first passthrough I took it to college with me one night. When the professor called breaktime I took it out and plugged it into the pc I was sitting at and took a big drag and exhaled. The look on his face was priceless, then came "What the hell are you doing??".
I just told him that I was sucking the smoke out of the computer to make it go faster, it left him speechless. I then explained what e-cigs were, what was used in the liquid and how it was keeping me off analogs, he didn't have a problem with me using it but said if he got any complaints that I would have to stop. Managed to convert several classmates during that semester.

My problem at work is that all of my friends are in the smoking area at break time, so
I have to be there to be with them.

My wife is teasing the heck out of me because I STILL crack the car window down to vape.
She lets me do it for a few minutes before asking "why are you letting the window down, dear?"

My standard reply is, as always, "Nobody like a smarty-pants woman, Honey."

Unfortunately, my workplace isn't progressive enough to allow vaping at our desks, so I still go out to the break area to vape. Like some of the previous posters, I enjoy getting away from my desk and going outside and visiting with my smoker friends. Our break area is also nicely landscaped with benches and tables, so it's a pleasant area to visit.

I pretty much vape wherever I would have smoked before. I've gotten so accustomed to not smoking indoors in businesses, I'm not particularly tempted to vape when I'm out shopping. I have gotten less self conscious about vaping around other people outdoors. I usually just whip it out and vape away. I've gotten some strange looks now & again, but no one has bothered me about it.

There's only one coworker of mine who's familiar with my PV and I'll often use it in that office when she's around, she's usually pretty interested in my flavor-of-the-day and how vaping leaves a pleasant smell in the room. She leaves at 8:30PM and I'm usually there until 11:30PM, by myself. It's the front part of the hospital and the rest of the staff are on their respective units (it's a 35 bed hospital). That's when I can get crazy with it without anyone noticing. Even if they did, who cares? I'm the supervisor. :)
