I know this is kind of redundant... But, one of the attractive features I've seen, has been the pack. Most other products use this pack to double as a charging case. I'm aware volt offers its own personal charging case. Though it looks much larger, around the size of a small hand bag? The pack design just seems to be more compact versus the PCC. So, Will Volt be offering one in the future? If not, are there any other packs which would work with my 78mm Volts? Or at least a carrying case around the size of a pack? It would be particularly useful for me. As it would provide something sturdy/compact/enclosed/& easy to carry around. Anything useful where I can simply stick it in my pockets and go when I need to.

I'm just thinking out loud here (don't know for sure) but I think the reason for the slightly thicker PCC than used with older style 808-D1 batteries is that these Volt 78mm batteries are a larger capicity (mah) and need a bigger battery in the charging case to effectively charge them in a reasonable timeframe. A PCC with a smaller internal battery would take much longer to charge up a Volt 78mm and wouldn't be as useful.

Feel free to correct me on this.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Battery capacity is critical in a PCC, both the supply and target batteries. The mega PCC I have is not really any bigger, cubic units wise, than a pack style unit. It is a little longer, but so is a 78mm battery, but is a much "thinner" while the width is about the same. It fits in a shirt pocket with no problem. I just doesn't have a "flip top" lid.

The Mega pcc is slightly longer than a pack of analogs (about the length of a 100 box and slightly thinner

I have no idea what mah means. I have no idea what size a iphone is. As for any size relation to common household items... Is this thing going to be as bulky as a fanny pack hanging off of my ...? Or will it be more similar to a glass case? I don't typically carry around a lot of items and I don't intend to hassle over it either. If it's going to be bulking up my pockets, I'm going to need something smaller.

MAH (milliamp hours) is the storae capicity of the battey. The larger that number is the longer a battery can supply power or in this case charge more batteries quicker. It's like a size D battery will supply power longer than a AAA battery.

The mega case is approx 4.5 inches long x 2.5 in wide x 0.75 in thick

Mah is milliamperes. It's the storage capacity of the battery. The more mah the longer it will go between charges or the more it will charge.

The mega pcc is about the same size of a 100 pack of analogs and a little thinner

Maybe this help:

That's a 78mm battery with a ce3 on it. The pcc is shorter than that and about twice the thinness

The ppc is the only reason i use small 65mm batts. The Mega can hold the 65mm with a carto loaded, plus a spare battery, and three more cartos. With the 78 batts you can only get 3 cartos. I dare not leave the house without less than 4 :).
I just stick a couple of carto's in my pocket with the caps on. They're small enough to fit comfortably. For me it's more important to have the extra battery life of the 78's.
