(myself included) I was skeptical when I decided to try e-cigs. I found loads and loads of helpful information within this forum, there are a TON of helpful people on here as well. Search DonDaBoomVape, hes got an awesome guide to getting started with e-smoking and understanding all the terminology(vaping,Analogs, PG/VG, Pv and on and on). I started friday and being a 2 pack a day Marlboro red cigarette smoker, I have smoked 4 cigs today, which out of 40 is amazing. Im slowly kinda quickly eliminating cigarettes out of my life for good. Its a little expensive for the good stuff but it will be worth it in the long run, I already owe alot to these wonderful people :p, all done with my rant and good luck on your journey:)

Hi Twiztid!!! I'm a newbie too. Just received my KR808 from SmokeTip yesterday and am weaning myself off my last pack of analogs. So far, even with the little bit that I've used my ecig, I can already tell a difference with my sinuses. I agree with you about this forum; I started browsing while waiting for my ecig, and got very excited reading everyone's experiences. Good luck to you on your journey : )

Welcome. I too have been reading here a long time. Using e-cigs for 2 months or so now and STILL havent stopped analogs. :(

Hang in there SL. As long as you are smoking less cigarettes than before you started vaping, you are winning.
There are a number of stories here from people who never intended to completely quit cigs, that 'accidentally' quit after vaping for a while.

Hi All!! One more noob to add to the group. Ive also had a rocky start to my vaping journey. :( So far at 1 month, I have yet to go more than 2 days without an analog. I dont have a health condition that warrants me to quit, or a 3 pack a day, 35 year habit. Just happened to pick it up in middle school because I thought I wanted to be cool, and here I am 10 years later with a nasty habit, and a family that I want to stay healthy for.

Im having a problem at the moment with finding good quality e-juice. After the first 2-3 weeks, and some weird symptoms, I realized that I have a PG sensitivity. For the last couple of weeks I have been searching out Vg bases...tried Johnson Creek...IMO...Uggh. No flavor at all, Vapor is awesome, but hard to deal with a great vapor with no flavor. That's a sacrifice Im not willing to make!! I am returning those as I type. Im waiting for my shipment to come in from Gourmet Vapor. I ordered a few sample VG based juices. We shall see. :) Ive always smoked strong menthols (Newport 100's) and Im having a hard time finding something comparable....Any advice on good VG juices. Please help!!

3 pack a day, 35 year habit

almost like U i smoked analogs for over 30 yrs..my health suffers, food tasteless ..i look 10 yrs older than my age..i am only 60...but looking at the mirror i felt like 70 yr old man with my blood shot eyes, toothless, coughing rentlessly and thinking i wont make it to see my fav world cup football 2014(Brazil) or 2018(Russia)..since i got into e-cig, my lifestyle change for the better..i only being vaping for 2 months..i can see the improvement like my tastebuds returns and no longer coughing or suffer blood shot eyes..looking at the mirror now i feel more like my true age of 60 ..i hope U give e-cig a true go and U will see a gradual improvement in yr health.. e-cig was created in his dream and invented by Hon Lik..a great invention for smokers turned vapers..so if i get to see WC 2014 or 2018 i have got Hon Lik to thank..unfortunately my older brother passed away in 2000 aged 52 from lung cancer and a month ago,my brother-in-law's wife succumbed to lung cancer even though she was a non-smoker,aged 62..regards mafig ps i use menthol and tobacco e-liquid 18mg,my favs..hope U & others can give up analog for good..happy vapingggggggggg for now on

D. R. - some nicquid vendors do offer double flavors (more concentrated flavor component). If you can't find a good VG liquid with good flavor, I would contact a vendor (or vendors) asking if they offer or will make a more concentrated flavor for you.

Just a thought :).

I never go straight VG, I like a 80/20 PG-VG ratio, PG is better for Flavor, VG better for vapor production, try mixing the two until you get a ratio you like:)

@ Mafig, Im so sorry to hear of the losses you have suffered. My grandmother also just recently(2009) passed away from lung cancer. After 7 years of on and off cemo and all the other treatments, 4 years of remission, and hundreds of thousands of dollars on cancer treatments.Needless to say, no one should live and die that way. She was only 58. Im also concerned for my mother-in-law. She's 68, 2 pack min a day, already has signs of COPD and CHF. On home O2 as needed. Ive tried to turn her to towards vaping, if at least to reduce her smoking, but she wont hear it. Says she doesn't like the way it tastes, so on and so forth. Just making excuses I think. Unfortunately, I will probably never convince her even after letting her use one of my 510's and buying special tobacco flavors just for her. :(
Ok so enough of that, I would like to congratulate you on your victory!!! It is an amazing feat to kick a habit that you've had for most of your life, and one that is so addictive and harmful in the first place. I hope that you get to see your WC games, and that you live to be a happy, Healthy, old man. :) Thanks for the advice on the juices also, have tried the tobacco and menthol, but so far, no luck but think it may be the quality....still experimenting. Will post with results. Happy Vaping!!

Thanks Tomcatt!! I know that I loose flavor with the high VG, but unfortunately, I dont know who much PG I can handle just yet....so with my order with Gourmet Vapor, I asked for Double flavor on all, especially since Im still smoking analogs off and on, I know I havent regained my tastebuds yet. Thats actually what Ive been looking for, is a vendor that will make the juice the way I need it not just whats popular...any specific recommendations?
Thanks Again, Divine
