Somewhere out there
Welcome! I went thru quite a few small type ecigs that didn't work well. But the best I have tried so far and what I use daily is a Halo G6, best slim ecig for performance and for a mod I love my GLV 2 super mini. Small but better battery life. Hope you find what suits you best and enjoy :) Whatever it takes to get off analogs and works for you. Watch the review videos for any type you decide on. bnrk

Per my prior promise, I looked around and frankly, Liberty has a great deal on an eGO-T kit... enough for 2 complete Ego-T's, 5 Tank Carts and 900mah batteries, charger and evberything you'll need/want! $55 after the 20% discount.. Make sure you hit the 20% discount button at the TOP LEFT of the page! All the prices afterwards reflect this discount..

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo

Perhaps the 12mg is a good choice.. not sure... this is a very personal choice....

eGo's are larger in diameter (like a small ring size cigar), but, my wife finds it's perfect. Great conversation piece... ha ha ha. Who cares, it's a great vape experience you want.. And the tips are a flat style and provide a nice easy draw.. Just be careful the first time, take in a small draw to get the feel of it.. It may surprise you! a TANK system eliminates the fiber fill material, is a clean vape and we have had absolutely no problems with any leaking.. Just plug in the cartridge firmly and twist a little to line up the angle of the tip to suit the button placement on the battery and you're good to go. You'll be able to vape a day or so maybe.. not an hour or so.... Dripping is a mess! This gives you the advantages of dripping without the mess and hassle.

again, just a suggestion... You'll get amazing vapor with this setup.. Not like the smaller cig size battery/atty arrangements.. and, maintenance will be at a minimum...

I hope you find a good solution...

regards

i went to the volcano vapor cafe and purchased their disposable to try out and i haven't smoked an analogue since (i bought it earlier this morning). since this is my first e cig i really don't have anything to compare it to except my analogues, but so far i like it. it's a little too light and i probably should've gotten the full flavor instead of the lights, but for my first try i am impressed with e cigs. i was smoking in my friends car and blowing the vapor smoke in her face and it was pretty hilarious. i am sold and now i want to find which brand and model will be the best for me.

While the advice on the Ego as a starter WILL serve you well (I still have a few floating around as "just in case" PV's), my advice from my personal frustrations getting started vaping is go big or go home right off the rip. I don't mean drop $200 on a Provari for your first PV, but to try a middle range 18650 tube mod. Why 18650 you ask, because it will handle 3.7, 5, and 6 volt vaping all out of one device. Your trip to volcano let you know that you like it so there are a plethora of options you can try for under $100. My Maxi Roughstack V2 was $45, I just ordered a Silver Bullet today for $87 shipped, and Volcano's variable voltage Lavatube (which I'm seriously considering after the holidays) will be out in the next few days for $99.99 for the whole kit, mod, battery, charger, atty, case, and all. All in all, I think you would save money, and be happier quicker by going for the mod route right from the start.
Whatever you choose, good luck and enjoy it!

i think a eGo-T will be a good choice.

My first ecig was an eGo standard using the 510 atomizer (510, 810 910 are just threading diameters) Then i hopped on to the VV eGo-T (VV = variable voltage. T refers to tank. a tank system allows u to hold more liquid in a "cartridge" than conventional cartridges and also, tank = no fibre filler material)

What i feel is just get a eGo-T then work your way there. it'll take u about 1 week or so of reading + fiddling with your personal vaporizer or pv to know what exactly suits u.

In fact if you have a little bit of time, you might want to check out High battery performance and 6v electronic cigarettes. Scott does pretty good reviews on the the various more common ecigs out there eGo is not mentioned but it basically looks like the VGO mentioned. And after u get a eGo-T, in nearer future if u wanna hope on the vv(variable voltage) bandwagon, u can actually buy an eGo booster to make the eGo-T battery a vv mod~

So yup~ i recommend a eGo-T~

p.s. i'm a greedy ... and now i'm using a ProVari - arry tank.. (i haven't break even from my initial investment haha)

That's very good advice if you can afford it, most people probably end up there anyway. If you know you like vaping and you're going to stick with it, it's all you'll probably need.

In my case I had no idea if I'd love it or hate it. I had my doubts it'd even work for me. Plus I was ordering for two people. So I started with the ego and was happy with it. I'm still using it. For $30 you really can't go wrong. It was less than a carton of cigarettes.

If I knew what I know now (but how do you know) I'd get a mod or an epower. They didn't have them when I got my kit. I don't waste money on PV's, I waste it on juice. If I didn't buy so much juice I could have gotten a nice mod. Sometimes you need to do baby steps though. If you stop smoking, it's money well spent.

Thanks Mortios, r3kka, and swedishfish! I used up the disposable in about 6 hours :(. It says that its equivalent to 2 packs. Now I want the real deal - the disposable was great while it lasted. I really am an airhead sometimes so going through all of your recommendations and deciding what will be my first choice will take a little time and research.

@ Mortios - sounds like you're probably right. You get what you pay for. I don't mind spending the money as long as I know I'm getting a quality product. Once I learn what a mod is I'm sure your advice will make even more sense :)

@ r3kka - i keep hearing everyone on the forum talking about egos so i will check it out.

@ swedishfish - thanks love. my friend came with me and got a menthol disposable at the cafe and she's also thinking about quitting or at least cutting down. we've been smoking together since our junior high days and it's time to quit! sexy pic btw :D

I second the eGo and Riva recommendations. They are reliable, versatile, and easy to maintain. Once you try the cartridges that come in the kit, go ahead and find a source for Boge cartomizers. They are easy to fill and top off and the taste is right up there with the best of the bunch.

A dripper atomizer like the 306 is also something that should be in your collection. Dripping gives you a best taste and vapor option that you can use around the house.

For a USA supplier, you can't beat Liberty Flights E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings in California. They should be able to ship to you in Hawaii.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I went ahead and bought an Inferno with Tube Tank and I am in vaping heaven. I know I don't have anything to compare it to but right now I don't need to because I quit smoking analogues and am very happy with my purchase. The folks at Volcano are great and the members on Volcano's forum are very friendly and helpful. Oh yeah and their Choconilla Haze ejuice is amazing!!! Thanks again - I wish all smokers knew what they were missing :vapor:

Congratulations! I smoked a pack+ a day for well over 30 yrs, and I started vaping with a cig type device that intrigued me, but really didn't do the job. Once I found a device/juice that worked for me, I got down to 1 or 2 smokes a day....then none, and I don't miss it at ALL. I have quit smoking before, a long torturous ordeal, but this was painless, quick, no weight gain, and I even ENJOYED it. How cool is THAT?!

Please keep in mind if this set up doesn't work for you for whatever reason, there are LOTS of alternatives and there is something that will! Again, congratulations on taking the plunge and ENJOY! :)
