If you've got some coin to spare, and want to skip ahead a couple weeks, I would highly suggest investing in an eGo-style battery, strictly for the reliability and the battery life. Some of the smaller units really lack in terms of batteries. From there, you can pretty much use any atomizer style, from dripping to cartomizers, whatever will suit your needs (probably cartomizers to start).

I just wanted to get the ball rolling, suppliers here in Canada are nowhere near as plentiful, so I'm sure some of our US members can point you in the right direction!

Best of luck and Happy vaping!

Ego type mods , are perfect place to start , but there are clones , out there , that are cheaper. There are also , regular kits , that use atomizers and cartridges , and also tank versions . Might want to start out with the regular style , at first . And a 510 type connection , is probably best . You can buy low resistance atomizers , or cartomizers (combination of cartride and atomizer , all in one . Plus the cartos , tend to hold more juice . and/or after you get started , you might want to try "dripping" . You use a drip tip , right on your atty. (no cartridge , or carto) just the atty. and drip tip, 2 or 3 drops and vape . Hope that helps .

NJoy will produce weak vapor and be expensive. The cartomizers they sell are hard to refil and and very easy to burn. For the same price you can get a 510 kit from madvapes.com (I would try an auto kit) and bottle of refil liquid for about 40$.

They have a cartomizer kit that is easy for convenience (and replicates a light cig decently) or an atomizer/cart kit if you want something closer to a full flavor cig.

I am far from an expert. I've had a hard time getting started myself. Right now, my suggestion (if a cigarette look alike isn't important to you) would be to grab a Riva kit from Liberty-flights (make sure to use the 20% off link at the top of their page. I really like my Riva but a longer battery life is really important for me. Not because I'm out all day or don't have the ability to switch out batteries all the time but because it's frustrating and off putting.

For a right away juice I would ask others but right now Honeyvillevapor is running 5ml samples for .39 cents each and you can buy up to two of each flavor. They might not be your favorite all time juices but it's a really great and super cheap way of determining nic strength, vg/pg combos, and what type of flavors you're going to like the best (fruity, dessert, menthols, tobaccos, candies). But it will probably take awhile to get their juices right now because they are gonna to have A LOT of orders.

Well, I got the Riva ego at Liberty Flights for $29.99 and quit.

I feel like I'm a Riva fan girl today, but that really worked for me. Very versatile ecig, you can get parts easily, has a 3 month warranty and works well. Can't beat it with a stick. About the size of a sharpie and have an 8 hour battery.

There are also mini's that are popular. They look a little more like a small cig but they have a short battery life. People like the KR808- Smoke Tip, Volt, Bloog, Vapor4Life. Or they like the 510.

Standard resistance attys should last several months, but there's no guarantees they will. Having backups of everything is the golden rule of vaping.

Attys will decrease in performance over time, but that can be mitigated by cleaning them. There's many methods to do so. Some use ultrasonic machines. Some people boil their attys. Then there's the controversial "dry burn" method. I just do simple overnight soaks in 99% isopropyl alcohol.

I don't use atomizers (nothing at all wrong with them) I use cartomizers which is the atomizer and cartridge combined. Pick up a box of 2.0 boge cartomizers and then you can use your ecig many ways. Also a couple of drip tips.

You can drip (drip juice directly onto your atomizer)
You can use atomizer/cartridge (just fill the stuffing inside the cartridge with juice, place on atomizer
You can use cartomizers - fill with about 1 ml of juice
Purchase tanks & tank atomizer - I'd give this a try once you start vaping

Cart/atty is a great way to test juice and it's a little cheaper. Some people like the vape better, but holds a little less juice.

Cartomizers hold more juice, don't leak and are easy. They are considered disposable but you can get many refills with them.

The average is from 18-24 to get off cigs from the polls.

It's a very individual thing though. Some light smokers need high nicotine, others vape 12.

I bought a bottle (same juice) in 12 and 24 mg nicotine. I figured I could mix them to get the best strength, but the 24 was perfect for me. Got me off the cigs.

You really won't know unil you try it. That's not a great answer but probably true. Get a few small bottles for a couple vendors and see what you like best.
