RDA Just got a copper Mutation X v2 from a local B&M today...

And I am using moo juice, blue moo and hazelnut from Mt Bakor Vapor with it on a 22g kanthal 5 wrap dual coil. I was getting a weird taste in the back of my throat while vaping but I didn't know what it was, so I went back to my single parallel Mephisto 6 wrap 26g and it tasted disgusting for some reason, so I went back to my mutation x v2.

Does anyone know what might be causing that weird feeling in the back of my throat? The best way I can describe it is like tart-ish, I guess. I never got this feeling or type of aftertaste with my Mephisto and it seems odd and makes my after-vape feel and taste weird.

I was looking online too and apparently copper atomizers are dangerous? Should I chuck this one? Sorta sucks, I just dropped $25 on it today at my local B&M and I don't know if he would accept a return.

Did you wash rda with hot water and soap before using? Because its a must.

It could also be a wick thats not set up correctly so you are getting a dry burn. Go back to the store and have them look at your coil setup.

Copper is safe, dont trust half the bs you read on the internet. Your house pipes are made of copper and you drink water out of it.

And if this is your first RDA, then start with 26gauge wire, 22g is way too think for beginner.

Nah it's not my first RDA but thanks for the help! I'll rewick it and see if it makes a difference because my last RDA, I never felt a weird back of throat feeing before haha

Edit: the cotton wasn't the issue, I still get this weird taste and feel. I don't get it if I mouth inhale and exhale through my nose. I took off a cool too, to see if it was the heat and it's not. Could it be because I have a sore throat? Idk but I didn't get this on my mephisto earlier today but I was rocking a different build on it.

I tried my unicorn milk and it seems like this atty really empathizes my sour fruit flavors. I'll try a new build to see if it's that
