Just ordered an Evic..Honestly would have ordered a Provari if I could use one of the many flatop batteries I have. I could live without VW but can't justify buying more batteries. I have a Zmax and soon an Evic and they can both use either battery. That was the deciding factor for me. It helped that I got the Evic for under $70.

Under $70 online where? For that price I'd order the Evic over a Vamo or ZMax

I picked up a Siam steel set for the Evic, it's made so much a difference, it's indredible.
Obviously it doesn't perform any better but the extra weight and shiny really makes the Evic look very classy.

I've been looking everywhere for these. Where did you get it?

Edited: Just found it here from an earlier comment: EVIC SÆT GROOVE I STÅL 18650

Mine is on its way.

Funny thing: buying it and having it shipped to North America is cheaper than buying it in Europe, because shipping is less than the VAT, and it didn't charge me VAT for the US order.

TIP: Use Google Chrome to order, because it provides automatic translations from Swedish to English -- they're not perfect, but more than good enough give you confidence in what you're ordering (or maybe not; we'll see what comes in the mail…). Amounts are in Swedish Krona, and 1kr = US$0.16 (today), the entire kit is about $51.

There's a couple of places selling it now, nobody has the plain tubes though - I opted for the groove version in 18650, it's electropolished finish is superb. I saw a BoD a few days ago and it's pretty nice too, not fond of the telescoping (still on the list for the Kir Fanis though) it's tiny in 18350 mode - don't think it's a nice looking as the Siam.

How do you like the AGA-T2?

Sorry Flintlock, only just seen your question mate -

AGA T is a fantastic Genny for the money, it still amazes me that kit of this quality is coming from China.
I did do one thing to prevent hotspots, I put the metal washer from an old nova head on the center post - works perfectly now.

No problem at all, I've probably missed a post or two myself. I went ahead and ordered one, and while it is working, my first build wasn't so great. I have some Kanthal on order to make my 2nd build. One thing that went wrong is a hot spot at the top. I went to a hardware store to get some ss washers for the top post, but the smallest I could find was M4, and I think I would need no bigger than a M2 washer. I didn't think about using a Nova washer, thanks for the tip!

I read in a post (can't find it), about using wire rope for a wick. He reported it works better than using ss woven fabric.

You could try a hybrid - steel mesh wick with an inner silica wick.

I keep thinking about getting that top, the siam mod, for my eVic but wish it matched the regular tube. I like the way the aga-t looks on it and I've been only use them for awhile now. I don't feel any need to make the tube more heavy. Does it look odd to have that top on the regular tube? Or is it close enough?

I LOVE my aga-t with the pyrex tanks! I have a over a dozen vivi novas in a drawer, used them for over a year I think. I'll have to go look what washer part you're talking about. I saw that post about the wire wicks too. I don't see how something so bumpy could vape better than a smooth ss mesh wick, but who knows. I never have any issues with a solid ss mesh rolled with the fill screw in on the aga-t. I tried the hybrid approach and the solid wick wicked the best for me.

As for a provari... mine's been in a drawer since I got my eVic. I prefer the eVic, the provari seems dated now. I like the VW & MVR VW way too much to ever go back to the provari. Not to mention it tells time & battery percentage left too. :)

The evic got me off analogs for that I'm utterly thankful. I got a provari last week for 70 bucks brand new. I love the provari feels more real. No bashing the evic at all. The provari has a better vape and better battery life. I never understood the vw on the evic so not having it on the provari no big loss. Will I be selling the evic heck no because it was the device that got me smoke free and would I have a provari if I had to pay full price not likely why is that because I could not afford 200 plus for a mod. The durability aspect was the evic felt cheap. If I had to do it over a lava v2 but hearing issues about that also. Is there a perfect mod built for everyone no its all subjective. Find what you like and run for it. We are a family here why all the oh evic Vs provari vs who cares.

That was a bloody great deal!
