Hey guys,

I just got my 510 from Rocky Mountain Vapor and am really excited. I've been smoking for about 15 yrs now and was really excited to learn about e-cigs from a colleague of mine at work recently. I really wished I had known about them sooner.

Anyways, I placed my order late Friday afternoon with Rocky Mountain Vapor and my order arrived on Tuesday so kudos to their fast shipping!

Now, I've been reading the forums to learn more and I want to say that there really is quite a nice crowd here. Great job guys!

I have a few questions and hope someone can help.

1) Being a newbie, I didn't order my juice until I realised that I "needed" to if I didn't want to keep buying cartridges. For people who smoke about a packet a day, how long does a 3ml bottle of juice last you?

2) With the USB passthrough, do you use it with both the battery inside and usb passthrough connected to the usb port?

3) When you buy "empty" cartridges a)is there a difference between round and flat mouthpieces and b) do they come with the filling inside so all you need is juice?

I think those are the only questions I have for now.

1. A 10ml bottle lasts me about a week and a half, but that isn't super heavy vaping. 3ml should last you at least a few days. 30ml about a month.

2. I think with the 510 passthroughs the battery gets charged when it's plugged in, so you can unplug it and still vape off the battery. When plugged in it runs from the usb plug(don't own a 510, so I'm not sure).

3. Round v. flat is just preference. After getting used to the flat mouth pieces I prefer them. Empty carts come with filling inside, but of course no juice.

I'm somewhat new to this, but I also smoked about a pack a day, and my first 30ml bottle is about half empty and it's been 2-3 weeks now, so I would think one bottle per month is about right. But keep in mind that it all depends on how often you vape, how deeply you draw, etc. This will affect the number of cartridges you use, and it's different for all of us.

btw i also have dealt with rocky mountain and agree that they are a good vendor as far as price and service goes.

Meltbanana got it right. Just one clarification from the way you pose the quesiton.... there's no battery in the 'battery casing' at the ecig end. There is just the inline battery near the usb plug. So you just plug it in, the battery if not charged, will charge and you vape off that in the same manner that you'd talk on a cell phone while plugged in. As MB said you can disconnect from the usb port and still vape for a while.

General terminology - blank carts have filler no juice. empty carts have no filler. And I also like the flat tips.

Happy Vaping!
