OK so I just got my 510. The batterys are charging right now so I haven't tried it yet. I did blow out the attys till I got dizzy. I was very surprised at how small the PCC was. It is pretty much just like the size of a 100's cigarette pack (except slimmer.) :) I do have a few questions tho. What do I do with the empty carts that came on the attys? What are they for? I remember being told DON'T THROW THEM AWAY. But no one said why. Another question I had was...is it OK to charge my PCC with a 510 battery in it?...only answer that one if you know because I don't want to do anything that is going to ruin or diminish the life of my investment here. I like to take good care of my things.

Welcome to ECF and Congrats on our new PV! :D The empty cart you can use. Just stuff it with whatever filling (Fluval, PTB...etc) you are going to use and juice and there you go. And yes, you can charge your PCC with a battery in it. No problem as I do it all the time. Best of luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Keep the cap carts the 510s came with as they can be useful to
re-stuff with filler for new juices
use as a mouthpiece if you drip (dripping is what I do)
replace old 'baggy' carts (they stretch and get loose, having a new tighter one is a joy)

I can't answer on the PCC one - I don't have one myself.
Remember though your 510 batts are charged when the light turns green on the normal charger - it doesn't take 8 hours. More like 1 or 2. Many new 510 batts come partially charged as well, so most are good to go.

Welcome SlowIsFast. lightinup is correct - from everything I have read it is fine to charge a battery in the PCC while it's charging.

Don't throw anything away. LOL You never know just how addicted you may get to mods and may need a piece of something. Right now you can't think that far ahead, but I recommend throwing everything you don't use in a bin and save it.

Let us know how it goes with your PV and any questions you have. Good luck!!! :)

Thanks so much. In your opinion whats the best material for filling carts? I know everyone has their own opinion but just thought I would ask and see what most of the other 510 user out there are using. Maybe this is a stupid question but should I leave one of the carts empty incase I decide to do dripping later? Or can you do dripping with a cart that has filler material in it already? Does it make a difference?

Currently, I find that the PTB, Lipton Pyramid Teabag, is the best for me. I have tried the blue foam, gross, it has a nasty smell and taste that will ruin the best juice and I washed it out thoroughly before using. Fluval is okay but just doesn't do it for me. The poly fill that comes in the carts, IMHO, is the absolute worst. But you will have to see what fits for you. We all have our favorites! Yes, you can certainly leave one empty and try dripping. Dripping is good but I am lazy and hate to keep dripping a few drops here and there! When you are dripping, it is best not to have any filler in the cart because it mutes the flavor.......kinda like a plug. And with a great juice, you want all the flavor! Happy Vaping! :D

OK so I think that I will leave them empty for now try dripping and see if I like it if not go ahead and fill them and like you said see what works for me. Another question tho...how often do you wash out the filler and do you find it difficult to wash out the PTB mod more so that other mods?

With the PTB, I change carts everyday if I am using the same flavor. If I change flavors, then I use a new cart. They are so easy to wash out, unfold it, hold it under warm running water for a few minutes and let them air dry. No muss, no fuss. Some strong flavors will not just rinse out, like cinnamon flavors, so those I will just toss. I do not want to use any kind of detergent on something that I am vaping and the teabags are cheap so tossing a few isn't a big deal. Hope that helps!

No, it isn't. If I can make a suggestion, there are many ways to roll the PTB. I tried them all and was not truly happy with any of them. They seemed to either not wick good or they would stick to the bridge in the atty. Until............................I got lazy and ordered some from Cignot. They come in the cart already rolled. Now, theirs was great. Wicking was better than anything. So I took one of the PTB's out to see how they had done it and have been copying it ever since and it works terrific. The best yet. It is really hard to explain. They fold theirs into thirds, roll it, not tight and then the lose inside fold they bend it down to form like a cup. The atty sits in the cup perfectly and that is why it wicks so great. I would certainly recommend purchasing one package and copying it like I did. My bad! My secret is out!

I use the straw mod and aquarium filter pads for refilling; the white ones that look a lot like the original filling. Fluval is very popular, I use the Jewel brand, it's cheaper, and no round corners – but they are so cheap, it doesn't really matter.

It's a very quick, easy and cheap mod, and easy to refill, too.

Man I'm full of questions...lol. I thought the carts were suposed to be round like a cigarette, but they are kind of round and kind of flat on the other side. Can you get only round ones?

Yes, you can get the round ones just about everyone carries those. I don't like them because I feel like I am sucking on a tail pipe! :p I prefer the whistle tip (flat).
