And yet another question...I was looking around at Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. and came across something called a wide band atty. Whats the difference in the wide band atty and the regular atty?
Some of the good old regular 510 atomizers have a gold band, and some don't. Theoretically they are supposed to be the same, but I found I prefered the wide band ones. The difference isn't really that great though.

Now the SLB 510 atomizers, on the other hand, are very different from the good old regulars.
Those have a much higher resistance and so they run much cooler.

Some people like them and some don't.
I am one that doesn't.

I really want to smoke (or vape) on this like a cigarette but how often can I hit it with out burning out my 510's atty? Like 10 seconds between drags, or is that not enough cool down time? I really don't want to be buying attys left and right because I keep burning them up.

You will get used to it. I had the same problem, i took to hard of a drag, with my 510 I can take a 5 second slow drag and produce more vapor compared to doing a hard 10 second drag. Slow drag = Less air coming in and enough time for that care to help the atty do its job, at least that is the way I look at it.

So how often can you take a drag without burning out your atty? I don't want to be buying attys all the time.

Hey SlowIsFast. I can hit mine about every 3 minutes, maybe even less than that. I haven't really timed myself! LOL Especially if I am at the computer as I like to just continously vape. If I feel the atty getting to hot, I might wait an extra minute or two until it cools down and I have yet to burn out an atty.

I believe he was talking about the SLB 510 atty's. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but the SLB's have a "washer" around the bridge of the atty. If you look inside the atty and it is a true Joye product, you will see the bridge, the wire mesh covered part, and around that is a piece of metal shaped kinda like a "bowtie". Sorry for the lack of a better description. :p The SLB, however, does not have the "bowtie" it looks exactly like a round metal washer. IMO, I do not like them at all and my carts do not fit nice and snug with them. These ARE NOT TRUE Joye products.

Read the thread linked in my signature below.
It addresses this issue.

The bottom line is if you want to smoke these like a cigarette, you need to drip.
Or you need to look into cartridge mods.

So the wide band is supposed to make them run cooler?

The wide band is merely decoration. However, the Janty atties all have it, and they are a tad better than others, allegedly, because they have a different coil or something. (I don't know about the coil, but they are very good.) So maybe people figured if Janty atty are both wide band and good, then all wide band atties have to be good, too. That at least is not true.

OK, that was kind of my thinking, but I did email Cignot and asked them so I will keep you guys posted when I here back from them.

Am I allowed to hold the button down for longer than 5 seconds without burning out the atty. The owners manual said not to hold it down for more than 5 seconds, but I can't get a good drag in 5 seconds. How long do people normally hold down the button on there 510's? Another question I had is that I dont seem to be getting as much vapor as the video reviews on youtube. Am I doing something wrong?

I got a reply from Cignot and the answer is, yes its is merely decoration.

I usually take 7 second drags, I have never burned out an atomizer.
I'm not even sure you can burn out an atomizer at 3.7 volts.

I think most of the burned out atomizers are from high voltage vaping.
OK I actually just opened a new thread on the topic because I thought no one was going to answer me...lol, but thats good to know. It gives me a little peace of mind at least. Thanks for all the help.:)
