Ordered it about a week before Thanksgiving, just got it on Monday though. So far I'm enjoying the hell out of it, even if I still find myself craving an analog cigarette. That said, I really don't get the hate that I've seen directed at Blucigs. It works just fine, plenty of vapor, good throat hit, the battery life is respectable, and it was fairly cheap to get two kits.

Smoke free for 24 hours as of this post.

Congratulations and welcome! I've never actually tried Blucigs, but I've heard a lot of negative stuff like you have. It doesn't really matter what other's think about it, as long as it's working for you. I thought my first SmokeTip kit was the best thing ever when I first got it. I was just too heavy of a smoker for it to keep up with me. Again, congratualtions on your first 24 hrs and good luck!

What matters is does it work for you, at an acceptable price point.
I started with an RN4081 3 piece. It let me see the possibilities of vaping, though wasn't quite enough for me to stop -- I needed higher mg than the juices I had, 2 piece for convenience, ended up getting another set of gear and passing my first set on to someone who wanted to try it.
You're on your way to becoming an ex-smoker -- good job! (and drink lots of water)

My first e-cig came from a smoke shop and was absolutely terrible. It cost me 70 or 80 bucks and crapped out in a week. I went straight back to analogs until my Blu arrived. Blu kept me off of them until I got my next kit. There are things about Blu that I respect -- their marketing is great, and definitely helps spread the word about e-cigs. They are sleek and smooth, and a great transition for anyone who wants to stop smoking. The battery life didn't bother me, the Blu pack and 2 other ways of charging make up for it in my opinion.

The carts are what turned me off -- they were just too small (and I already had e-juice and was refilling). That and one of my atty's started falling apart in about a week. About two weeks into Blu, I ordered something else, the 510. I ordered the 510 because I had no intention of returning my Blu, so having interchangeable parts seemed like a smart investment.

I don't bash the Blu -- it did exactly what I needed it to, and the hassle of topping off carts was NOT enough to make me pick up an analog. If someone WANTS something that looks like a real cigarette, the Blu style is a great place to start. Just need to remember, small PV = small parts.. Small battery, small atty, small carts. When I realized that e-cigs were MY way to stop smoking, I started trying to find the perfect one for me. If I wanted to pick up an eGo batt, I can. I have 3 batts and PT, so I don't see that happening any time soon. I like the convenience of a small PV. I only wish the PCC for the 510 resembled the Blu pack -- I still have a little envy for that. :)

Congrats on your decision to quit smoking, stick with it. :D

And happy vaping :)

Send the atomizers back, they will replace them. Are you cleaning the atomizers? Order up a few extra atomizers then you always have some while you are exchanging them...at least blu warranties them, other places will just tell you, they only last "X" long, period..for about the same pricing.

I am pretty happy with my blu..though I am very ocd, so compulsive with vaping so imagine I will move up to a better model eventually, but I've been using these for about 8 months now. Lost track of how many batteries/attys I've exchanged now, but they keep replacing them..

I'd be going for the refund right now (and getting an eGo), but my girlfriend isn't having problems with hers at all. I suspect that I'm just too heavy of a smoker for the Blu. In the meantime, I've ordered 4 atomizers. If the problem continues, I'll just grab some 306 cartomizers from somewhere and see how that works.

It worked great at first, though. The entire reason I went for a Blu is the simplicity of it. The vaping jargon is going way over my head for now (510? 306? Do those refer to diameter or something?), and attempting to refill a cartridge just sounds like a nightmare of a time.

I think that is what gets folks in the end. They smoke heavier than a super mini can keep up with. If one works for someone, then great. You'll probably enjoy your ego much more. Keep us updated if you get the time. Good luck!

Know that there are other chemicals in Tcigs that you will crave for the first week or so (hubby took about 3 weeks, I took 3 days so it depends on the person). We started at "medium" nicotine and are now at "low" nicotine. From what I gather on this board the lower the nicotine, the better the flavors come through. I really like my Volcano Inferno, didn't think I'd like dripping but as long as I'm at home it's my preference. I still like the "traditional looking" Ecigs when out in public, I'm sure I'll get over that. That Inferno battery really does last all day but it's twice the diameter of my traditional looking Ecigs. I don't like filling the carts for it though because I can't do the "condom refill" (have to use a syringe) - so I mostly drip with the Inferno and condom refill carts for the v2.

QUESTION FOR VETS READING THIS- what brands can you both drip and do the condom refill on the carts? I want to get a present for a smoker and would like this combo.

Thanks for the link. I've been trying to find these things, but they seem to be sold out everywhere. I figure a few of those, a flexible-needle syringe, and some juice will solve my issues with my Blu. The atomizer just sucks tremendously, especially with the foil-sealed cartridges. Foil ALL OVER the atty.

Careful with the twisting -- it's probably the best way to get a consistent vape, but I kept twisting the same direction, and the metal "wicking" on top of the bridge started peeling off. I lost one of the two layers of in less than a week. Make sure to do it gently, and maybe alternate the twisting direction. Try not to twist and pull it out in the same motion. I hope the 306s work for you!!
