So I was happy to see my Defender came today along with some Turbo Cartomizers and regulars.
The first thing I noticed was how dead sexy the defender is. Whoever designed this thing knew what they were doing. The black and gold thread design is very pleasing to look at and while I can see how it could be mistaken for a lipstick container, to me it looks more like some futuristic half smoked cigar. The Defender is exactly the right size and shape to deliver fantastic battery life you can't get from a general E Cig while at the same time is as pleasing to look at and handle as your standard E Cig.
I decided to let that charge first while I popped a standard cartomizer onto a standard KR8 battery for comparison purposes later. The cartomizer I chose was the caramel coffee and needless to say I was pleased with the performance of the standard cartomizer. It last quite a long time (about 2 hours) of steady vaping and the flavor was pleasing as well. These cartos in comparison to say V4L's regular cartos, I would put Vapornine's standard cartos a hair above V4L's regular cartos. Vapornines flavor was better, throat hit smoother, and definitely lasted longer.
In my excitement I then moved onto the Turbo cartomizer which I couldn't wait to try, and I must say the Turbo cartomizer is vastly superior to any other cartomizer I tried before. The first half of the battle was the prefilled. It lasted me for about 3 or 4 hours with outstanding vaping. The vapor production was plentiful and the throat hit very very smooth. Flavor was also smooth and subtle which I'm quickly learning is how I want it to be. Most other prefilled carto's I have tried were much more on the harsher side but these Turbo Cartos give a very smooth and very full hit without a lot of burn on the throat. Keeping in mind I haven't even touched my Defender yet. This is all with my standard battery.
So finally I got my hands on the Defender. The threading was a tad tight and at first I hit the button and got no connection so I removed the Turbo and screwed it back on with a little more purpose this time. That was all it needed. BAM! Throat hit, massive vapor, were about times 2 on the Defender than on my standard battery. Throat hit was still just as smooth, but felt much more fuller and satisfying. Not by a ton, but it was noticeable. The Defender felt really good in the hand as well, (which I had worried about). Its a fantastic device and will be my every day device going forward. I can't really speak about the battery life but I have been using this defender since about 5 pm and its going on 10:30 pm now without any sign of slowing down.
Finally, after my prefilled turbo was spent, it came time for my final test which was how well these prefilled Turbo's perform after a refill. So I grabbed some liquid and filled the baby back up. My previous experience with refilling any cartomizer before this one was extremely lacking to say the least. The premium cartos and Wow's from V4L did not refill well at all. Basically the only thing I would get from refilling them was a harsh throat hit but you could kiss flavor and a lot of vapor goodbye. So I refilled my Turbo and gave it a drag, and everything was exactly as it should be! Flavor of the new liquid (with a remnant of the previous tobacco flavor which is to be expected and it not a negative to me) the throat hit still smooth and the vapor was ALL there. No sacrifice in any of the categories so far. These Turbos really are great, so day 1 of these things and I am more than satisfied. If I can get 4 or 5 good refills from a Turbo cartomizer and maintain the consistency I am getting now then I have to say the Turbo is the only cartomizer to buy for me.
And as for VaporNine itself, the shipping was fast, packaging was GORGEOUS for the Defender, and everything was there and in working order. I do so love nice packaging!
