So I just got my Halo G-6 today, and I'm a bit disappointed about the flavor. I got Tribeca because it's supposed to be a tobacco flavor and well it tastes like candy! Caramel and a nasty bitter sweet after taste, nothing like tobacco. As far as vapor production and throat hit, that does resemble an analog but the flavor is really bumming out. I also got Prime 15 and other non tobacco flavors. Perhaps it's just me but the Belgian Cocoa in my order is stinking up the whole package before I opened up anything. :glare: Do you guys have any suggestion for more tobacco tasting e-liquids? I usually smoke Marb Reds

ok simmer down, first off....go ahead and have some analog cigarettes, its not the end of the world, you've been doing it this long and a few more arent going to kill you

second off, i suggest you put in an order with backwoods brew for his juice Casablanca and also one for Backo...these are two excellently flavored tobaccos that actually taste like tobacco...hurry up though because Don is going on vacation on 5/16...i think he ships internationally

Sometimes you need to steep flavors- put in hot tap water for 30- 45 mins and then place in a dark place for 1 day. After 1 day open the lid and allow fresh air inh- close lid and put in dark place 1 more day. As for Tobacco flavor you'll NEVER find a tobacco tasting vape. I like TA and Black Perique but it's one of those flavors you either LOVE or HATE. I suggest you pick up some samples until you find the right one. I hated menthol when smoking but now LOVE it in my tobaccos.

Believe it or not, Cinnamon does good as a tobacco replacement.

But that is not what you want. You might try Mom & Pop Vapor Shop's RYO (roll your own) or RYO4.

Don't get down on yourself if you need a smoke now and again. Just cut back, and use the savings to buy more flavors and gear. Before you know it, you won't even crave a ciggy (much). After a few weeks cigarette free, you won't like the taste of them.

I still light a cigarette for my wife about once a week. They are NASTY! But second-hand smoke doesn't bother me.

Anytime someone wants tobacco flavors, I will make the same recommendation...
--Dekang DK-TAB is my favorite
--Vaperite tobacco samples

I would recommend a particular Vaperite tobacco flavor, but it will just depend on your tastes.
I have tried about 12 of their tobacco flavors and haven't found one I don't like.

My favorites, for whatever it's worth, are...
--VR4
--Burley
--Virginia
--Perique
--777

And for those times that I wish I could smoke a cigarette...
--Tuscany Tobacco

Most folks really like the Rou's Toasted Hazelnut tobacco, but it's just not my thing, and same with the Madagascar Vanilla.
Both are good, and I will use them until they are gone rather than ditching them, but just not my thing.
:)

If you buy any freshly made tobacco juices there is a good chance they won't taste right until they have steeped for awhile.
But Dekang juices are already steeped when you get them, as are the Vaperite sample sizes.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll try steeping the Prime 15, because the Tribeca are prefilled catomizers, so those probably won't develop a different flavor?
Yeah, the prefilled probably won't benefit from steeping.
Prime 15 does get better with steeping, but it is pretty good without steeping too.

But as far as I'm concerned it really doesn't taste like a tobacco flavor very much, mostly just a peanut-like taste.
Having said that, I really love the Prime 15 and it is my favorite 555 variant.

Don't fret over smoking some analogs when you first start vaping. You WILL get to the point where you no longer want them because vaping is so much better, but first you have to find your 'sweet spot'. Sweet spot is finding the right device with the right carto, atty, whatever, with the right juices. Once you find what works for you there'll be no stopping you! And no smoking for you either! :)

I've been vaping for 3 weeks, and I still haven't completely weaned myself off of analogs. I have cut back a great deal however (I've gone from 50/day to 10 or less). I'm currently vaping v2's, and they're generally okay (I tried blu's a year ago, and got fed up when it took 3 weeks to get replacements). I've already decided to step up to a kgo w/a tank once I've used up my carts. As far as juice goes, I'm not that fond of Halo either; I prefer Highbrow's tobaccos (especially the exotic blend), and if you want to try something completely different, his Orange Sangre is amazing!

You didn't say what nic strength you're using. If vaping isn't killing your craving for analogs, you might want to try more nicotine. To me, that is much more important than the flavor.
And, like other people have said, don't stress too much about having an analog now and then. I think that's better than letting youself get wrapped up in the feelings of deprivation and desperation over not smoking.

plasticscones,
I wanted to share my experience with you hoping some info might help. My brother and I both ordered a G6 a couple weeks ago and we both have been cigarette free since. What we found was the flavor is very important.

He got Prime and I went with Torque. For what ever reason I ordered additional 5 packs of Torque.

He had trouble the first day quitting smoking because the Prime has an odd flavor to him. I wont lie, I tried it and it made me first want to smoke a cigarette to get the taste out of my mouth lol... But then he tried one of my Torques and liked the flavor enough that he lost the cigarette craving. As did I.

I reordered Tribeca figuring I would trade it to him for his Prime. I had the idea I would mix some liquid in the prime and make it taste better. He ended up loving the Tribeca aas well as other RY4's.

In any case, I fell in love with Torque right away and it squashed cigarette cravings for both of us. I attribute it to the rich flavor.

The Cocoa is excellent! If you take a few drops and mix it with Prime you get a perfect blend IMHO and the Prime becomes more enjoyable.

Bottom line... Once you find that 'satisfying' flavor, you'll have fewer and weaker cigarette cravings.

I didn't like the tobaccos at first. I quit smoking on fruits and desserts. After about three months, i went back to tobaccos. I like how certain tobacco flavors taste, but they don't taste like cigarettes.
Same here...
:)

I quit smoking with Tasty Vapor dessert and bakery flavors.
Mostly caramel popcorn.

I have since gravitated back to tobacco flavors for the most part.
The dessert and bakery flavors just started seeming a little too sweet for me.

My story as well, at first I THOUGHT I would like the tobaccos, but ended up only really enjoying the fruity ones, and thats how I quit.

But a few months down the road, I pretty much couldn't stand the fruity ones anymore, and have gone to the tobacco flavors.

Also like hangdude, I don't find they really taste like tobacco necessarily, but I like the more complex yet less in your face flavors that can come from them, as opposed to the fruity ones that are what they are.

Also, initially, the china tobacco juice that is prefilled in alot of things tasted like plasticy crap to me, but now-a-days I find it is one of the flavors I like the most, subtle, yet complex in its own way.

Dont give up! When i got my eGO-T with my roommate and fiance, they both had no problem quitting. I was having the ROUGHEST time getting off analogs. I can honestly say i thought it was a lost cause and i just kept buying normal cigarettes because i thought thats what i really wanted. Then it happened......i went 3 days without a normal cigarette, took one smell of someone who smokes and it hit me....I couldnt stand the smell anymore! I am now two weeks completely cigarette free and have been around smokers constantly at work and havent once wanted an analog.

All i can say is keep positive, realize that you are making a fun and healthy lifestyle change and eventually you will find your own "right time" to get off analogs. BTW first post!

thank's for the input guys. i'm a bit dissapointed by the juices by halo. i guess they're just not my style. they have this weird after taste and the cocoa one tastes like fat. i'll look into the juices you guys recommended me. but besides from that i'm really enjoying my g6 and surviving on the green apple flavor i got from halo. on to the search of a more neutral, 'less sweet' and caramel tones liquid.

Hey plasticscones, I agree with those that say don't stress wanting (or smoking) the occasional cigarette - instead, be proud of yourself for every single one you DON'T smoke! I've cut down from about 50 RYO per day to somewhere between zero and five smokes daily so IMO that is pretty huge.

I've only been seriously vaping for about two months with a KGO - at first the tobacco flavors I tried just tasted stale and nasty. But my taste buds are starting to come back now (yours will too) and I'm hooked on Backwoods Brew (aka BWB) Honey Flue - very true tobacco taste with a hint of honey. I add a drop or two of Caramel Candy flavor sometimes to sweeten it up a bit. I mix flavors together often to experiment. Or because I forget which carto goes with which flavor. :) Some of the coffee/espresso flavors I've tried are very satisfying in a tobacco-type way but I add a little cinnamon or caramel to make them even tastier to me.

Finding the tastes and strengths that work for you - and those that don't - might take a little time. I've settled into a routine - I take two juices with me to work: one sweet, one not so sweet, and I alternate. Today was BWB Caramel Cappucino (not so sweet) alternated with Hoosiers Fresh Pineapple (sweeter.) I'm finding I don't like menthol or most fruity flavors and the very sweet flavors (eg Ms T's Sinckerdoodle Cookie) are seriously awesome but I can't do them all day. I'm also finding that some juices really need to steep opr mellow or whatever - I'll try it and go "yuck" and put it back in the drawer, then try it a couple of weeks later and really enjoy it. I haven't tried Halo yet - taste is very subjective!
