Just got my first mechanical mod. I need some advice.

I got a sigelei #8 and I don't know too much about mech mods. All I've really read is about battery safety and not much else. I opened up the package and I took it apart then put it all back together and put in my 18350 (with the mod shortened to fit the battery) and attached my rsst. The mod is hitting pretty well but idk If I tightened it too much Cus my rsst Won't come off.

Also are there any threads where I can read about modifications being done for it and also just general maintenance?

There is a lot of good info in THIS THREAD.
I don't have an RSST but I'd imagine just like with the AGA you just have to unscrew the atty from the connector. Sometimes it's easier to remove the top cap from the mod then unscrew the atty from the connector.

With an Aga-T2, which is larger than the mod with it's drip-tip!

heard there are issues with some RSST threading. Does the #8 have an adjustable pin? Remove the top cap and try loosening the pin from the bottom maybe that will help.

that looks awesome, I saw that in a different three. what modifications did you do with the inner part of the mod? if you could explain I'd love to do that with mine. I'm sort of a noob with mods tho so I might not understand what parts your talking about

I tried that and it's still stuck. It's pretty tightly threaded.

Anyone use Noalox on these? SMALL amounts are used to avoid thread seizing on some mods. IDK about this one. Don't bridge the connector +/- gap if you use it. Of course, you apply it before screwing stuff together. So I'm not much help.

Back pff RSST Center Screw
Remove #8 top
Back off Center Pin
Wrap cloth around #8 top
Grip #8 Top with Large COMFORTABLE Pliers
Grip RSST with other hand and Unscrew.

ONLY HAND SNUG DEVICES - THREADS CAN SEIZE
